I woke up sometime late the next morning with my face pressed against Zhenlan's chest and Chenghai's hand wrapped loosely around my ankle.
I wasn't quite sure how I got into this position, but for several seconds, I stayed exactly where I was.
The curtains were open just enough to let the pale sunlight into the bedroom, and rain tapped softly against one section of the windows. Zhenlan was awake beside me with a book balanced against his raised knee, while Chenghai had apparently fallen asleep again after moving close enough to keep one hand on me.
On the other hand, Yuche's side of the bed was empty.
Lingyun's was too, although the pile of pillows he had built around himself the night before remained scattered across the sheets.
I lifted my head enough to look toward the windows. "Is that rain?"
Zhenlan turned another page. "Twelve minutes."
It took my brain a second to catch up.
