I guess I'd spent far too long in the bathroom because Evan eventually came looking for me.
"You know you shouldn't be here," I whispered.
"You were taking forever."
"Evan, this is the ladies' room, you can't just—"
Before I could finish, his lips crashed against mine, silencing every protest. I had to admit, the man could kiss. No—he kissed dangerously well. The way his tongue moved with mine made my knees weak. Heat rushed through my body instantly, and I cursed the fact that I wasn't wearing a bra because my nipples always betrayed me whenever he touched me.
Before I could even think of hiding it, his hand slid over my right breast, teasing my nipple through the thin fabric of my dress. The sensation sent a sharp shiver down my spine. Evan kissed me harder, deeper, and I knew if I didn't stop this now, we were going to lose every ounce of control right there in the restroom.
"Evan… this is the ladies' room. You're not supposed to be here."
"I know, love," he murmured against my skin. "I paid to get everyone out."
"That still doesn't make it oka—"
The words died in my throat the moment he bent me over the sink. He pushed my panties aside and slid a finger inside me, making me gasp softly.
"Damn… you're so wet."
A second finger followed, stretching me slowly.
"And so tight."
Lisa barely noticed the world around her anymore. Every thought disappeared beneath the feeling of his fingers moving inside her. Her breathing turned uneven as pleasure clouded her mind completely.
Then suddenly, he pulled away.
Before she could even process it, his tongue replaced his fingers, making her body jolt. The sensation nearly drove her over the edge. She was seconds away from falling apart when the restroom door suddenly slammed open.
Oliver stood frozen in the doorway, his eyes locked on them. His gaze shifted from Lisa to his best friend, disbelief and disgust written all over his face.
Without saying a word, Oliver stormed out.
Evan slowly rose to his feet, completely unbothered. He looked straight at Lisa… and broke into a wide grin.
After Evan left, Lisa stayed behind for a moment to clean herself up. The cold water against her skin did little to calm the storm raging inside her.
The moment she stepped out of the restroom, she froze. Oliver was standing right outside the door waiting for her.
"So you're not just going after my cousin," he said bitterly, "but my best friend too? Are you really that desperate? Or are you just a whore who can't control herself?"
Lisa smirked as she lifted her eyes to meet his directly.
"At least this one does it better than you."
The words landed hard.
She walked past him without sparing another glance, though deep down she knew she'd made a mistake. A dangerous one. And she knew Oliver would use those words against her someday. Still, a part of her didn't care.
Outside, Evan was already waiting for her while Oliver trailed behind. Evan immediately opened the car door for her.
"No," Lisa said softly. "I'm waiting for my friend to come pick me up."
Truthfully, she'd had enough of men for one night.
Evan nodded slowly. "Alright."
Then he leaned down and kissed her gently on the lips. Lisa knew Oliver was watching, and maybe that was exactly why she kissed Evan back without hesitation.
"Hey man, I've got to head out," Evan called over to Oliver casually.
Oliver only shook his head in response.
After Evan drove off, the silence between Lisa and Oliver turned poisonous almost instantly.
"You really had to do that in front of me?" Oliver snapped, stepping closer to her. "Kissing him back like you were trying to prove something?"
Lisa folded her arms tightly beneath her chest, refusing to look intimidated. "Maybe I was."
Oliver laughed bitterly. "You think this is funny?"
"No," she shot back. "What's funny is you acting jealous after calling me a whore five minutes ago."
His jaw tightened. The vein in his neck pulsed visibly under the dim parking lot light.
"You enjoy pushing people, don't you?" he muttered.
"And you enjoy pretending you don't care."
That one hit him hard. Lisa saw it instantly in his eyes.
Before she could say another word, Oliver grabbed her wrist and pulled her toward the darker side of the parking lot where his car was parked beneath a large tree.
"Oliver, let go of me."
"No."
"Yes." She dug her heels into the ground, grabbing onto the rough tree trunk beside her. "I'm not doing this with you tonight."
But Oliver was already too angry, too worked up, too consumed by whatever had been burning inside him since he opened that restroom door.
"Why him?" he demanded. "Why Evan?"
Lisa looked up at him stubbornly. "Because he wanted me."
Oliver's expression darkened instantly.
"That's your answer?"
"It's the truth."
For a second they just stared at each other, breathing hard. The tension between them felt electric, dangerous, almost unbearable.
Then suddenly Oliver moved, lifting her effortlessly over his shoulder despite her protests.
"Oliver!"
"Keep yelling," he muttered. "You love the attention anyway."
"You're insane."
"And you drive me insane."
Lisa hit his back once, twice, but secretly the rush of adrenaline coursing through her body thrilled her more than she wanted to admit.
He reached his car, unlocked it, and carefully dropped her into the passenger seat. Before she could climb back out, he leaned over her, trapping her between his body and the leather seat.
"Stop fighting me for two seconds and listen."
"No."
"Lisa." His voice lowered dangerously. "Listen."
Something about the way he said her name made her pause.
Oliver stared at her for a long moment before exhaling sharply and running a frustrated hand through his hair.
"You have no idea what you do to me."
Lisa swallowed hard but refused to back down. "Then maybe stop pretending you don't want me."
That did it.
Oliver's hand slid to her thigh slowly this time, giving her every chance to stop him. But she didn't. If anything, her legs parted slightly beneath her dress.
His eyes dropped to the movement instantly.
"There she is," he murmured darkly. "The honest version of you."
His fingers traced slowly up her inner thigh, teasing, testing, making her breathing turn uneven.
"You were real loud comparing me to other men earlier," he whispered near her ear. "You still think they're better?"
Lisa tried to answer confidently, but his fingers brushing higher ruined every coherent thought in her head.
"O-Oliver…"
"That's not an answer."
His thumb pressed teasingly through the thin fabric of her panties, and Lisa gasped softly, gripping the seat beneath her. The anger between them twisted into something hotter, more dangerous.
"You act so tough," he said quietly, watching every reaction on her face. "But your body tells the truth every single time."
Lisa hated how right he was.
His fingers moved against her slowly, deliberately, driving soft broken sounds from her lips. Every touch felt calculated, like he was trying to erase Evan's memory from her skin completely.
"You don't get to compare me to anyone," Oliver whispered against her throat. "Especially not him."
Lisa's head fell back against the seat as pleasure slowly unraveled her composure.
"Oliver…"
"Say it."
Her chest rose and fell rapidly. "You're impossible."
He smirked slightly. "Still avoiding the answer."
Before she could respond, headlights swept across the parking lot. Both of them turned at the same time to see Jerry stepping out of her car, looking around anxiously.
"There you are!" Jerry called out. "I've been searching everywhere for you."
Oliver leaned back slowly, his expression unreadable again.
Then he looked at Lisa one last time.
"Next time," he said quietly, brushing his thumb across her lower lip, "don't say things you can't take back."
And somehow, the promise in his voice sent a deeper shiver through her than his touch ever did.
Without another word, Oliver stepped out of the car, helped Lisa to her feet when her legs nearly gave out beneath her, and walked her over to Jerry's car.
Jerry narrowed her eyes immediately. "What exactly happened here?"
Lisa opened her mouth to answer, but Oliver spoke first.
"Nothing she couldn't handle."
Then he shut the door gently, stepped back into the shadows, and disappeared into the night.
