I woke up to a room filed with the smell of sex and sweat, and my guys surrounding me all over.
I cracked a smile at seeing them all there and tried to get up, but failed. Everything hurt like a bitch and I was still more or less tired. Yesterday had been like heaven. The guys had made me come time and time again and I loved every second of it and if I wasn't so tired I wouldn't mind going for another round.
Once I was awake the guys started waking up one by one and when they saw I was still trying, and failing, to get out of bed Orus held me between his arms, carrying me like a princess as I giggled to the bathroom.
" If you're taking a shower do you want to go alone or do you want me to help you?" Orus asked, a hopeful gleam in his eyes.
I wanted help but I knew that if I let him in it would definitely end up as a sex session and I was too tired for that right now, so I said no and took a shower by myself.
When I got out everyone was already waiting for me and they scorted me out of the dorm, as if I was a real princess.
The day had started great and I was feeling up when the speakers crackled.
" Not again" I groaned.
" Don't worry. This time it's good" Mark said, a big smile on his lips.
" This is just a reminder that holiday season starts this Friday. Enjoy yourselves" The dean's voice conveyed good news for the first time since I'd come here.
I almost began jumping up and down.
" How long are our holidays?"
" A full month. They are what humans call Christmas holidays. You were raised as a human, don't you know this?" Jack raised an eyebrow.
" My parents never celebrated Christmas and I never got any presents, but whatever" I shrugged.
The guys looked at each other with a suspicious glance.
" What are you plotting?" I asked them while I walked backwards so I could see them better as we walked to our first class of the day, which was special class, the one I hated. But today I was in a good mood, and in an even a better one after hearing the announcement, so it would be difficult to take me down.
" Nothing" Jack said, shrugging.
I knew they were lying. Orus's and Mark's faces betrayed their real thoughts but I was too happy to care, so I let it drop just as I reached my class and said goodbye to the guys, who each went to their respective classes.
When I entered everything was in total chaos.
I ran to hide under the teacher's desk while knives flew all over the room and blood stained the walls and floor.
After almost an hour of that hell it was finally time to go. I peeked through the desk and saw they were all gone.
I thanked the teacher and went out of the room, only to find my guys there, arms crossed and leaning over the wall waiting for me.
" Come on, we just have to survive three more days and then it's Christmas" Mark's voice carried so much happiness that I smiled without thinking.
" I love it when you smile" Orus said, smiling too.
I followed them into our next class and my mood plummeted when I saw the teacher standing in the middle of the room holding a stack of papers.
" Did we have an history exam today?"
" You forgot?" Mark looked at me as if I was a little bit slow.
" What's it about?"
" The history of mages and the grand archmages. He also said that he could ask some human history, but it's unlikely"
I was utterly fucked. I hadn't payed attention in class. It was enough to say I hadn't even know the teacher's name until yesterday, when the guys told me.
" Don't worry, I'll let you cheat off of me" Jack said with a confident smile.
" As if you studied" My tone was dripping with sarcasm.
" I didn't, but I'm very good at cheating" He said, taking out a cheat sheet the size of my thumb with little black insect like letters written all over.
"Are you sure your cheat sheet is right?"
" What do you take me for? I may not have studied a day in my life, but I'm the best at making cheat sheets"
" He's right in that. He's passed all his exams since childhood, and let me tell you something" Orus leaned into my ear." I've never seen him study"
" That's right. I haven't studied a day in my life" Jack said proudly. I wasn't sure that was something to brag about, but it was certainly impressive.
Jack moved his hands and the cheat sheet duplicated.
"This one's for you" He handed me one of the cheat sheets and I tried to read it, but almost had a brain aneurysm trying to do that.
" How can you even read this?"
" Practice" He shrugged.
" This'll help you" Jack handed me some spectacles and the moment I put them on I could clearly see what was written on the paper.
" This is a magnifying glass!"
" Yes. It acts like one"
" Thanks"
" We're gonna ace it"
Jack smiled at me and I smiled back.
We entered the room and the teacher handed us the exam. I had no idea what half the questions were about, but the cheat sheets had all I needed and I started flying through the exam, answering questions I didn't even know existed as if my life was on the line, which it kind of was.
I was so focused on the exam that it took me a while to notice the commotion happening in the room.
" Mister Langosst could you please show me your hands?"
The teacher was all over Jack, looking serious and pissed as fuck.
" I won't" The teacher sighed" That's sexual harrassment"
The teacher, whose name I had discovered was Mister Lonk, rubbed his temples.
" Just show me your hands"
" Sexual harrassment is not good"
At this point Mister Lonk was fuming and he just grabbed Jack's hands, while he screamed that that was sexual harrassment and that he would report him, and turned them around as he examined them.
Mister Lonk's face went through three different emotions in a second. He went from suspicious, to shocked to apologetic.
" I'm sorry, Mister Langosst. It seems I saw wrong"
Mister Lonk went back to the center of the class after apologizing and went back to looking at all of us as Jack looked at me and smiling smugly he took his cheat sheet from under his exam.
Guy had outsmarted the system. I smiled as I went back to my test, this time being more careful and stopping every time the teacher came near.
When I was done I handed in my exam and waited for the guys to come out. It didn't take long before they exited the room one by one.
" How'd you do?"
" Very well"
" Not as good as Orus, but decent"
" I told you I always pass. My beauty helps me"
I chuckled as we went on to our next class, attack magic.
We had already started practical classes, so we went outside after changing our clothes in the locker room.
" Today's exercise will be a little bit hard" Miss Jena, the teacher in charge of this class began talking." You'll each be teleported to a place inside the forest, away from the other students and you'll have to hunt different monsters we have released just for this exercise into the forest. The goal is to earn ten points, and since this is a hard exercise, and it counts towards the ranking, you'll have until nightfall to bring back the carcasses. There'll be three different kinds of monsters. Yisuro, small ones that resemble rabbits are worth 1 point, but be careful because they have a hidden venomous barb that could incapacitate you for hours. Reina, middle ones look like dogs, but beware their mouths. They have sharp teeth and can breath fire. They're worth 3 points. And last but not least we have the Kurushha, they are bear like monsters with unending stamina and a coat so thick that it can only be penetrated by magic or by weapons in a few weak spots. These monsters are worth ten points. When you kill them you shall bring their corpses here before nightfall, and for those of you who love to cheat I and some third year students will be watching to make sure you kill the monsters and don't just steal the corpse from a friend"
Groans erupted in the class. All of them were cheaters, how could they think about doing that? That was immoral and bad.
" Scratch your idea to have us hunt for you" Orus whispered into my ear.
" I know. I know. This exercise is unfair because you can't use weapons to kill the beasts. It's an exercise to check your magical ability, but if you're carrying any weapons right now and I don't see them I won't confiscate them and you can use them to kill the beasts. If, on the other hand, you have no weapons we won't provide them. You'll have to use magic to kill them. The exercise starts the moment you enter through the portals" She said, pointing to a line of shimmering portals that distorted the space behind them just in front of us.
" Any questions?" Seeing as no one said anything she turned to the portals and started hearding us towards them.
" Here you go" Mark handed me a small dagger which I quickly hid in my pocket.
" Thanks"
" Be safe" He whispered just as Miss Jena called his name.
" If you need me I'll come running" Orus hugged me for a while before his name was called and he disappeared into a red portal.
" Mister Langosst " Miss Jena called.
" Remember. Cheating is always good " Jack said, winking at me as he also disappeared through a portal.
" Mister Kumar" I took a step forward and followed the teacher to a blue portal. I let my feet hover over it for a second. I'd never used a portal and I was afraid it would rip me to shreds. There'd been cases were a badly made portal had destroyed to smitherings everything that entered it, including people.
I started sweating and felt my hands clamming.' It's okay' I told myself. If the guys had crossed already it had to be safe.
Mustering all my courage I took a step forward and went through the portal.
