The Girl from Sector 9
Sector 9 was the most dangerous part of the city.
Broken buildings.
Dark alleys.
No police.
Victor parked the motorcycle near an abandoned factory.
"This is the place."
Ryan looked around nervously.
"I don't like this."
Suddenly footsteps echoed behind them.
A young girl stepped out of the shadows.
She wore a black hoodie.
Her eyes were sharp and confident.
"You're late," she said.
Victor looked surprised.
"You?"
Ariba frowned.
"Who is she?"
The girl crossed her arms.
"My name is Lena."
Ryan whispered,
"Ghost Circuit…"
Lena smiled slightly.
"Exactly."
Ariba asked carefully,
"You sent the message?"
Lena nodded.
"Yes."
Victor looked serious.
"Why help us?"
Lena's expression changed.
"Because the Architect destroyed my family."
Silence filled the alley.
Then Lena said one more thing.
"And I know where his secret headquarters is."
Ariba's eyes widened.
Ryan whispered,
"Are you serious?"
Lena nodded.
"But getting inside…"
She looked at them carefully.
"…will be a suicide mission."
Victor smiled slightly.
"Good."
"That's exactly the kind of mission we need."
