"S-Supervisor Sullivan." Seeing this, Lynn Preston shot up from her chair and rushed to explain, "She's not a stranger, she's my sister-in-law! She's here to pick me up from work…"
"Off work?" A cold sneer touched Supervisor Sullivan's lips. "Lynn Preston, is your work done? And you're already thinking about leaving? Your sister-in-law? It'd be useless even if your brother came!"
"Get back to work."
"Oh…" Lynn Preston looked reluctant, but she had no choice but to swallow her indignation and comply.
"What work?" Sonia Quincy reached out, grabbed Lynn Preston's arm, and pulled her back, stopping her from sitting down to be worked like an animal.
"Is our Lynn the only employee in your company, Supervisor Sullivan? Why is all this random crap being dumped on her?"
"Random crap? Hmph." Supervisor Sullivan twisted open his thermos, took a loud slurp of the hot tea inside, and fixed Sonia Quincy with a harsh stare from his mean-looking eyes.
