As he was clearing the rubble from the stone house, Xun Yu looked over at Ji Deng in confusion. "Free?"
"It costs ten Fourth-grade Spirit Jades just to participate in the blessing ceremony. Is that Priest really going to treat Beastmen and not charge any Spirit Jades? This has to be a trap, right?"
Ji Deng sent his men to clean the stone house while he sat beside the basket of fruit Su Yu had graciously given him. He picked up a snow pear, wiped it casually, and took a bite, answering indistinctly, "Who cares if it's a trap? As long as we benefit from it, that's all that matters."
Merchants chase profit, and they go wherever there is profit to be made.
Whatever trap the Haoyue Tribe's Priest had set with this free treatment, they would go try to get in on it. If they could, they'd have made a profit. If not, they could just leave. It was no loss to them either way.
