"I really didn't expect that I'd still have to worry about making money after retirement..."
Pei Ye had always assumed that retirement would be all about eating, drinking, having fun, and square dancing. The Federation Military Department had allocated her a pension, and she had a substantial savings account. Just living off the interest from her investments would have allowed her to live very comfortably. With money came the freedom to do whatever she wanted!
But as it turned out, as soon as she transmigrated, she became dead broke with a huge appetite to boot. If she didn't work, let alone spending money to raise her cub, she couldn't even support herself. By becoming rich, she wouldn't have to worry about starving to death, and Ah Zai wouldn't have to go out and work a nine-to-five job every day. The little guy came back dirty and looking pitiful every day, making her heart ache for it.
