Dan formed two solid blue daggers in his hands, created with the exact same method Sophia used for her katana. The weapons looked completely real, their sharp edges shining faintly under the light of the underground hall. Then he spoke in a calm voice, "Alright then… here I come now, my little girl." And in the very next instant .
Swoooooosh!
He vanished from his spot at terrifying speed and appeared directly in front of Sophia as if he had teleported.
Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!
An unbelievably fast exchange exploded between them instantly. Only metallic sounds could be heard one after another as sparks scattered wildly through the air. Daggers against katana. Attack and defense. Strike and counterstrike.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Tens of thousands of clashes seemed to happen within a single moment. Sophia attacked with deadly precision. Her blade moved toward the neck, toward the heart, toward the head. Every strike aimed to kill. Meanwhile, Dan blocked everything with exact movements and perfect timing, then responded immediately with fast counterattacks of his own. Quick thrusts. Horizontal slashes. Circular cuts. Every movement was calculated. Every attack was lethal. Every dodge was necessary. There was absolutely no room for mistakes.
Fwoooooosh!
Dan's right dagger appeared directly against Sophia's neck at blinding speed. The cold blade touched her soft skin lightly and pressed against it slightly. But then he stopped. His hand hesitated. He could not continue the killing strike. A moment later, he pulled back slightly, and the two separated from each other. Silence followed. A brief moment of thought.
Then Sophia spoke in a cold voice, but there was clear pleading hidden underneath it.
"father… please… don't hesitate."
Dan looked at her quietly for a few moments. His eyes searched her lifeless gaze before he finally answered softly,
"It's difficult for me, my little girl…" He paused briefly, then continued clearly,
"You are still my child after all. My first daughter. How can I hurt you like this?"
Then he let out a long sigh before speaking in a firmer tone.
"But… if this truly is your wish… then I'll force myself to grant it."
Right after that, thin strange black sealing marks suddenly appeared across his face. They spread over his forehead, around his eyes, and across his cheeks before quickly fading into his skin.
Fwoooosh!
Then Dan spoke again, but his voice had clearly changed. It became colder. More emotionless. More neutral.
"Alright. I've now sealed a large portion of the emotional regions in my brain,"
he said calmly before continuing,
"So I can give you the real battle you're asking for. But…"
He stopped. His gaze became much more serious as he stepped closer to her and spoke in that cold tone.
"In this kind of fight, things may quickly develop into something truly dangerous and fatal. And I don't think the power of the three Vitality Seals you currently possess will be enough by themselves to heal wounds of this level. So I need to strengthen them as an additional safeguard."
Then he gently placed his hand on top of her head. A massive amount of healing chakra immediately flowed from him directly into her body. The energy spread rapidly through her bones, muscles, organs, and cells with incredible precision. It settled perfectly inside her body, preparing itself to heal deadly injuries instantly if necessary. An extra layer of protection. A guarantee to preserve her life even if she reached the edge of death itself.
After finishing, Dan stepped backward once more, creating distance between them again. Then he spoke in a completely neutral voice,
"Alright, my child. Use all your strength now. And every ability you possess. Do not hold anything back."
"Yes, Father."
Then suddenly .
BOOOOOOOOM!
An overwhelming pressure exploded out from Sophia's body. The heavily reinforced floor beneath her began shaking violently despite the countless layers of seals protecting the hall.
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
Because of the immense concentration of her spiritual energy, a gigantic glowing skeletal figure began forming visibly around her body a terrifying aura of death surrounded it.
At the same time, a sharp and cutting presence erupted around Dan. It felt as if thousands of invisible swords surrounded him from every direction. Everything near him looked like it could be sliced apart instantly. Even the air itself seemed cut open. The light looked distorted. The very space around him appeared filled with invisible wounds.
Then suddenly the two of them vanished from their places at the exact same moment.
