Claudia POV
My breath hitched as our eyes met. Thousands of memories, good and bad, flooded into my mind as I locked eyes with those beautiful, yet intimidating green eyes that I feared and loved at the same time.
It'd be a big lie if I said that I didn't miss him. I did. I missed his warmth, his way of comforting me, and the way his presence gave me confidence over time.
But I was also scared of what he would do once he knew that I decided to keep the baby.
Would he take the baby by force? Or would he try to ruin everything around me again until I had nowhere else to go?
Countless scenarios ran inside my mind, and my heart raced as Ray suddenly took a step towards the florist.
I was inside, and we were separated by a display window, but it didn't stop me from feeling the chill.
But I did not run away despite that. I stood my ground as the bell above the door rang, and the tall man stepped into the store.
