Third Person POV
Even after Alexander left Rosewood Town, he had already instructed Herbert to oversee a thorough investigation inside the mansion.
At first, they carried it out discreetly, questioning no one and simply observing the staff. But after several days without finding anything suspicious, Herbert decided to widen the investigation and formally question everyone working in the house.
Herbert made sure no member of his own family was excluded from the investigation.
Just as expected, nothing suspicious was found.
However, one particular staff member gradually caught his attention.
Agnes.
She had become unusually nervous over the past few days.
At first Herbert dismissed it as fear brought on by the investigation.
But the longer he watched her, the more suspicious she became.
Unable to ignore his instincts, he hired a private investigator to quietly look into her background.
The results arrived two days later.
