The chopper took off, carrying with it all the members of the Veritas Corps, dead or alive. Alfred followed.
Max stood behind, his gaze cold and stoic.
Then he vanished.
Three days passed in a blink.
"So you're telling me I passed out for three days straight," Silas asked Amelia with surprise.
Amelia nodded. "Yes. Take the tea before it gets cold."
"Oh, thank you," Silas said, taking the tea cup by the handle.
"What?" Silas asked, noticing Amelia's piercing eyes that looked like they wanted to unravel his soul.
"Nothing, I was only wondering if you didn't miss Lilura that much," Amelia shrugged.
Silas almost choked on his tea at Amelia's words.
"Why should I miss her?" He asked, his brows furrowed.
Amelia rolled her eyes. "Don't think I didn't see both of you at that place. I saw her giving you signs too."
Silas set the tea aside and stood up.
His body was bare, revealing his well-proportioned chest.
He pulled Amelia into his arms calmly, his eyes fixed on hers.
