Cherreads

Chapter 12 - Sasuke’s Genjutsu

After bringing Ayame, the daughter of the Ichiraku Ramen owner, into his life, dawn was just breaking over the horizon.

In her kitchen, Sasuke began preparing breakfast.

Even in the anime world, a man should cherish his women himself.

At Ichiraku Ramen, Teuchi could never have imagined that Sasuke, who had eaten at his shop last night, was now in his daughter's home.

He was probably expecting Ayame to come help at the shop today.

That hope was destined to fail.

After such a night, she would certainly be sleeping through the day.

"Breakfast is ready."

Even Sasuke hadn't expected that the Ichiraku Ramen Cooking Skill he had obtained through sign-in would be this useful.

Before transmigrating, as a shut-in, the most he could manage was boiling plain water, instant noodles, self-heating hotpot, or ordering takeout.

Now, with his system's powerful support, everything was different.

It was incredible.

Tasting the food he made himself, Sasuke even felt a sense of pride.

"You made this?"

Ayame sat up, wanting to get out of bed and go to the living room.

"Sasuke… besides my father, you're the first person who's treated me this well."

When she was little, her father had taken care of her like this.

Now that she was grown, she never expected someone younger than her to dote on her instead.

Sasuke held her gently and smiled. "Try it."

"This tastes like Ichiraku Ramen…"

Ayame was stunned.

Sasuke chuckled. "Not bad, right? If you like it, eat more."

Blushing and astonished, she asked, "Has our family's recipe been passed down secretly? When did you learn to make Ichiraku Ramen?"

He laughed softly. "It's just ramen. Why are you so shocked?"

"Your man can do far more than this."

Since he offered no detailed explanation, Ayame could only sigh in admiration.

"Sasuke… you really are a genius of the Uchiha clan."

"You're amazing."

"Eat up," Sasuke said. "After that, get some sleep."

Though he still felt energized, he had to consider her condition.

Ayame was more mature than Sakura, but she wasn't a trained ninja.

He helped her lie down gently.

"Sleep well."

"I'll stay until you fall asleep."

But every time Ayame looked at his handsome face, memories of the night returned. Her heart raced too wildly to rest.

"Sasuke… I don't think I can fall asleep."

He smiled softly. "Silly girl. With me here, you will."

As he spoke, his eyes shifted—

The Sharingan activated.

This was his first time using genjutsu.

He carefully controlled his chakra, ensuring it would only lull her into peaceful sleep without harming her.

Ayame was different from Sakura.

Sakura had loved him for years; even if everything had progressed quickly, there had been emotional groundwork.

Ayame, however, had barely exchanged more than a few conversations with him before giving him something precious.

If he didn't use genjutsu to help her rest, her heart would be restless.

If he left, she would feel empty.

If he stayed, she would feel overwhelmed.

Thanks to his powerful system and abilities, Sasuke always found solutions to small complications.

Watching Ayame fall into a peaceful sleep, he finally had a quiet moment.

Leaving her home, he reflected on the past two days.

First Sakura.

Now Ayame.

As a former shut-in, he wouldn't have dared dream of this.

Yes—by ordinary standards, he was a scoundrel.

But living like a king in the anime world, enjoying the affection of different beauties—

It felt indescribably satisfying.

"System, are you there?"

When he was with Sakura or Ayame, his focus had been entirely on them. He hadn't had time to communicate.

His Invincible Sign-In System was almost like artificial intelligence.

[Host, I am here.]

Sasuke asked, "I already have two girlfriends. I feel like time is starting to run short."

[Does the Host wish to acquire advanced time-management capabilities?]

Sasuke thought of those legendary playboys who could juggle countless relationships at once.

Impressive—but that wasn't his concern.

He was worried about being betrayed.

With more women, it became harder to monitor everything.

What if someone else took advantage?

He, a transmigrator blessed with invincible power, wearing a green hat?

Unacceptable.

"System, what I mean is… is there some kind of monitoring—"

"Not literal surveillance. I'm not that extreme."

"But can you provide a feature that alerts me if my girlfriends change their feelings, or if another man tries to approach them?"

"And also alert me about any danger they face."

The system seemed to process his request.

After a brief pause, it responded calmly:

[Host's proposal is not optimal.]

"Oh?"

Sasuke raised an eyebrow. "You have a better idea?"

[Yes.]

[The system can provide a feature called 'Danger Pre-Warning.']

It explained clearly:

[Your proposal only notifies you after danger occurs. That may already be too late.]

[With pre-warning, you will receive early alerts, giving you time to respond.]

Sasuke couldn't help but raise his thumb in approval.

"System, you're incredible."

"I love you."

"With a system like this, how could my legacy here not thrive?"

"That's it. I want the 'Danger Pre-Warning' function—right now."
