Maya's POV
The bathroom rivaled any luxury spa I had ever seen. An enormous bathtub dominated one corner while the shower space could easily accommodate a small gathering. Premium bath products lined the marble surfaces in perfect rows, each bottle appearing untouched and expensive.
I kept my shower brief, allowing the hot water to ease some of the knots of anxiety twisted tight in my chest. Afterward, I selected my outfit with deliberate care: a sophisticated midi skirt paired with an elegant blouse that struck the right balance between casual and refined for dining in such an opulent setting.
Sebastian occupied one of the plush armchairs when I emerged, his attention focused on his phone screen. The moment he noticed my presence, his gaze lifted and lingered in a way that made my pulse quicken. There was an intensity in his eyes that suggested he was truly taking me in, not just glancing.
"Shall we head to lunch?" he asked, rising smoothly from his seat.
