A night, where rain falls over dark, crowded city with neon lights and tall buildings. Police sirens echoing in distance.
"People say the law protects everyone equally. But in this city...equality is only a word"
In a small apartment, Aren Valric, gets ready for his graduation day as a police officer. He looks at the mirror, and thinks "I will judge all people equally".
A large hall inside the Central Police Academy. New Officers stand in uniform. Aren looks around. Some officers proud, Some bored. But Aren looks calm, serious and slight happy.
The Police Commissioner speaks, "You are the New Guaurdians of the Law, and Remember- Order Is what Keeps This City Alive". Aren Smiles Proudly. After the ceremony, All Recruits talk excitedly. Erik jokes to Aren:
"So, Hero...ready to save the world?"
Aren smiles faintly and replies:
"Just ready to do my job", Erik Smiles back.
The celebration barely ends when alarms ring at the station. A Dispatcher shouts:
"Emergency call from Black Lantern Market District, a civilian at the end of knife point." Everyone looking at the man shockingly.
And suddenly a voice appears: "This is it. Your first test. I need a volunteer who will assist the senior officer."
With great boldness and confidence, Aren raises his hand. Some shocked. The Police Commissioner, seeing the confidence, smiles faintly, and shouts to Aren:
"Go fast, the culprit won't wait for you"
