Keifer's POV
Four days.
Jay hadn't come to school for four whole days.
No messages.
No calls.
Nothing.
At first Class 3-E acted normal about it.
Well…
our version of normal.
Ci-n claimed she was secretly training to become a vampire permanently.
Rory said she probably got arrested for threatening somebody emotionally.
Ci-N started a dramatic campaign called:
"Bring Back Jayjay." 😭
But after the fourth day…
even they stopped joking properly.
Because something about this felt wrong.
Very wrong.
Jay disappearing wasn't the strange part.
Jay disappearing silently was.
That girl always caused chaos before disappearing.
It was basically tradition at this point. 😐
Now though?
Nothing.
And somehow…
Aries still didn't look worried.
That honestly bothered me more than anything else.
During break Ci-N slammed both hands onto our desk dramatically.
"I CAN FEEL THE TENSION."
Felix nodded immediately.
"The classroom feels emptier without violence."
"Those two sentences concern me deeply," Yuri muttered.
Matteo crossed his arms.
"Let's just ask Aries directly."
Mila nodded.
"Yeah."
So eventually: me, Ci-N, Yuri, Matteo, Mila and Felix…
went looking for Aries.
We found him outside near the hallway railing scrolling through his phone.
Calm.
Too calm.
The second he saw all of us approaching together, he sighed.
Already tired.
Like he knew exactly why we came.
Ci-N pointed dramatically.
"Where's Jayjay?"
Aries blinked slowly. "That's your greeting?"
"Answer the question."
Aries locked his phone calmly.
"She's okay."
Nobody believed him.
Not even a little.
Felix immediately frowned.
"Then why isn't she answering calls?"
"And why hasn't she come to school?" Mila added softly.
Aries leaned against the railing slightly.
Still calm.
Still suspiciously calm.
"She just needed space."
Ci-N looked offended.
"FOUR DAYS OF SPACE?"
Honestly…
same reaction.
Then Yuri suddenly asked quietly:
"…Has she even been home?"
A small pause followed.
Too small.
Too suspicious.
Then Aries answered:
"Not since Monday."
Silence.
Complete silence.
Matteo stared at him.
"…What?"
Felix nearly dropped his drink.
"AND YOU'RE SAYING THIS SO CASUALLY?!"
Aries rubbed his forehead tiredly.
"Because I know she's safe."
"How?" I asked immediately.
Aries looked toward me for a second.
But before he could answer—
A female voice suddenly called out loudly from behind us.
"¡Aries!"
We all turned immediately.
A girl hurried toward us through the hallway.
She definitely looked foreign.
Dark brown hair.
Sharp features.
Elegant but visibly stressed.
And the second she reached Aries—
she immediately started speaking rapid Spanish.
Fast.
Too fast.
I understood absolutely nothing. 😐
Literally nothing.
Not a single useful word.
Meanwhile Aries answered her just as quickly.
Their conversation became faster and more tense immediately.
The only thing I kept hearing repeatedly was:
"Jayjay."
Again.
And again.
And again.
The girl looked stressed.
Actually stressed.
Aries' calm expression slowly disappeared too.
Which immediately made my chest feel uneasy.
Because this was the first time all week he genuinely looked worried.
Ci-N slowly leaned toward me whispering:
"…Do you understand anything?"
"No."
"Not even one word?"
"Not even spiritually."
Yuri looked equally confused beside us.
Meanwhile the girl kept talking quickly to Aries.
Her voice sharp now.
Urgent.
Aries suddenly cursed quietly under his breath.
That alone made Mila nervous immediately.
Because until now…
Aries had stayed completely calm.
Then the girl grabbed his arm slightly while speaking again.
And this time Aries nodded immediately.
No hesitation.
Something definitely happened.
Then Aries finally turned toward us.
And for the first time in days…
he actually looked worried.
Not protective.
Not calm.
Worried.
"If Jay contacts any of you… call me immediately."
Before anybody could ask questions—
Aries and the girl quickly left down the hallway together.
Fast.
Urgent.
The girl still speaking rapidly in Spanish beside him.
And suddenly…
the uneasy feeling in my chest got worse.
Because now it didn't feel like Jay was just avoiding school anymore.
Now it felt like something was seriously wrong. 🌧️
