Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: The Graduation of the Damned

The morning of the Graduation Exam was painted in a deceptive gold. In the Academy courtyard, parents hovered with pride, and teachers bustled with scrolls. But to Aizen Sosuke, who stood on the high balcony of the Hokage Tower with Hiruzen Sarutobi, the scene was nothing more than a collection of insects being sorted before the storm.

Aizen's silver hair caught the light, and his new, translucent skin made him look more like a marble statue than a man. Beside him, the Third Hokage looked ancient.

"A new generation, Sosuke," Hiruzen whispered, his pipe smoke curling into the air. "I see Minato's spark in many of them. Especially the Uzumaki boy, despite his struggles."

Aizen's eyes, swirling with hidden silver patterns, fixed on the lonely figure of Naruto sitting on the swing. "Yes, Naruto-kun is... unique, Hiruzen-sama. He possesses a hunger that the others lack. A hunger that can either light the world or consume it."

The Shadow in the Exam Room

Inside the Academy, the atmosphere was thick with tension. Iruka Umino called the names one by one. When it was Naruto's turn, the boy's hands trembled. He failed the Clone Jutsu—his chakra, disrupted by the violet seed Aizen had planted years ago, refused to stabilize into a simple illusion.

Naruto walked out, his head low, the target of a thousand cruel whispers.

Aizen watched from the shadows of the hallway. He didn't offer a hug. He offered a catalyst. As Naruto sat dejectedly on the swing, Mizuki—the traitorous instructor—approached him. But Mizuki didn't know that his every thought was being puppeteered by a faint pulse from Aizen's Hogyoku.

"There is a way, Naruto," Mizuki whispered, his voice laced with a strange, hypnotic resonance. "The Scroll of Seals. In the Hokage's residence. If you master a technique from it, they'll have to let you graduate."

The Midnight Heist

That night, the village was silent. Aizen stood in the center of the restricted archive room, the legendary Scroll of Seals floating in front of him. He had already opened it. His eyes memorized every forbidden seal, every stroke of the Second Hokage's brush.

He didn't steal the scroll; he rewrote a small portion of it. He added a microscopic seal hidden within the Multi-Shadow Clone technique—a seal that would allow the Kyuubi's chakra to flow more easily into Naruto's body, but under the "rhythm" of Aizen's soul fragment.

A soft thud sounded at the window. Naruto scrambled inside, wide-eyed and terrified.

Aizen didn't hide. He stepped into a patch of moonlight. "It's a heavy burden to carry alone, isn't it, Naruto-kun?"

Naruto jumped, nearly dropping the scroll. "Aizen-sensei! I... I was just..."

"I know what you were doing," Aizen interrupted, his voice like silk. He walked forward and placed a hand on Naruto's head. For a second, the boy felt a warmth so absolute it felt like a drug. "The village is too small for you, Naruto. They want to keep you weak so they can keep you safe. Take the scroll. Go to the woods. Show them what you are truly capable of."

"You... you're not going to stop me?" Naruto stammered.

"Stop you?" Aizen smiled, and for the first time, his teeth looked slightly too sharp. "I am the one who opened the door. Now, run. Your future is waiting."

As Naruto vanished into the night with the scroll, Aizen felt the Hogyoku pulse with satisfaction. The First Act was over. The boy was now his instrument, and the forbidden knowledge was now his weapon
