"So, why did you bring me here?"
Inside the huge mall, Amon walked with Sakura on his left and Asahi on his right.
Asahi grinned. "Isn't it obvious? We want to repay your kindness, Amon. You've been missing for years, right? Just seeing you now explains everything. That's why Sakura and I brought you here—to change your appearance."
Amon looked at Asahi, surprised and hesitant.
"Change my appearance, you say?"
Asahi rolled her eyes. "Don't ask so many questions. Just follow us."
She grabbed Amon's hand and quickened her pace. Sakura glanced at her sister's bold demeanor and let out a small sigh.
'It's nice to be someone who can be so straightforward,' she whispered, enviously.
The three of them took the escalator to the second floor. Amon observed the crowd with curiosity.
'It's really crowded,' he whispered. 'The atmosphere is so different from Hell.'
A thousand years in Hell had left a strong mark on his memory.
So, even though he was originally from Earth, Amon had forgotten many things—including what a busy life here looked like.
Before he knew it, they reached the second floor. The crowd was no thinner than downstairs.
People passed by, engrossed in their smartphones, while others shopped in the surrounding stores.
Asahi led Amon into a men's clothing store. The place was spacious, filled with a variety of eye-catching styles.
"Okay, Amon. Now you can choose any clothes you want," Asahi said enthusiastically.
Amon looked around, hesitant but also… excited.
In Hell, he had a personal designer, so his clothes had always looked more modern than those of other demons.
However, he had been poor before, so his knowledge of luxury clothing was limited.
Now, the sight before him truly opened his eyes. There were so many attractive styles he had never even imagined.
But then Amon calmed himself. He let out a small sigh. "I don't have any money."
When he returned to Earth, he hadn't brought anything with him except the clothes on his back. In hindsight, that had been a very careless decision.
"Anoo… uhm… Amon, you really don't need to worry about that. Since we brought you here, we'll pay for everything. Didn't Asahi just say she wanted to repay your kindness?" Sakura said shyly, trying to reassure him.
Amon glanced at Asahi, who gave him a small nod.
"Go ahead and choose. Don't worry about the cost," she said earnestly.
Amon no longer felt uneasy. After all, Asahi and Sakura were insisting, and he had little choice but to comply.
He walked toward the rows of clothes with only mild enthusiasm.
'Which clothes should I pick?' he wondered silently.
To be honest, his fashion sense was poor—and he knew it.
"Do you need any help, sir?" a soft voice came from behind him.
Amon turned and saw a female staff member with short brown hair. She was quite pretty, with slightly chubby cheeks and a petite frame.
Her gentle smile was warm and comforting, putting anyone at ease.
"Sorry, I'm having trouble finding clothes that suit me. Could you help me?"
The staff member's eyes lit up at his request. She nodded and said, "Of course! Please follow me."
She stepped past Amon and began guiding him forward.
Meanwhile, Sakura and Asahi waited quietly outside.
"Sis, don't you think your actions toward Amon are a little… too proactive?" Sakura asked cautiously.
Asahi looked surprised, glancing at her sister in confusion.
"What do you mean?"
Sakura bit her lower lip. "Amon and we are basically strangers. But you seem so… forward with him. I'm… a little scared."
Before she could finish, Asahi gently pinched her lips and interrupted, "Sshh… I get what you mean. But listen to me first."
Sakura nodded slowly, and Asahi released her hand.
"First, I want to ask you something. What do you really think of Amon?"
The sudden question caught Sakura off guard.
She rubbed her chin and replied softly, "He's a good person… and determined."
That was all she could say for now. Of course, Amon was far more complex, but those two traits captured her overall impression.
"Hah…" Asahi let out a deep, slightly exasperated sigh. "You're too simple-minded, Sakura. Alright, let me explain my perspective. I think Amon is a good person, mysterious, and… strong. Earlier, you said he defeated those three men easily, right?"
Sakura nodded. "Yes, he defeated them effortlessly."
"Well, that's exactly it. Those three men are incredibly strong—transcendent rank E, maybe even C. Yet Amon handled them without trouble. Isn't that strange?" Asahi smiled playfully.
Sakura gasped, finally catching her sister's meaning.
"Could it be… you think he's a transcendent of rank… B? Or even… A?"
Rank B, let alone A, was extremely difficult to reach. Those who successfully awakened powers at that level were usually sought after by large guilds—or even by hidden conglomerate families—often at high prices.
"That's possible. But, honestly, that's not the only reason I act so… actively around him," Asahi said, slightly embarrassed. "There's something about his mysterious nature that's… very interesting."
A meaningful smile appeared on her lips.
Sakura: "…"
She couldn't deny that her sister was right. Even she herself was drawn to Amon's mysterious aura.
It was as if that aura had the power to captivate anyone who looked at him.
"And—"
Before Asahi could continue, her smartphone rang. She reached into her pocket, pulled it out, and held it to her ear.
"Hello? Ah, yes, it's me. Are the results ready?"
She spoke with the person on the other end, and when she finally hung up, a smile had spread across her face.
"What's going on?" Sakura asked.
Asahi grinned. "The detective I hired to uncover Amon's identity has finished the job."
Sakura's mouth fell open in surprise, and she was about to speak when she heard footsteps behind them.
"It's done. What do you think?"
They both turned and froze as Amon stood before them, his appearance strikingly different from before.
Asahi: "( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;)"
Sakura: "(⸝⸝⸝O﹏ O⸝⸝⸝)"
