Keifer's POV:
After the call, I ran toward the guest room, but she wasn't there.
Then I heard voices from downstairs, so I ran there.
As I reached the living room, I saw her sitting on the couch, holding a crying Kerein. She kissed his cheeks, and he quickly stopped crying. He even squeezed her cheeks.
"Aww, Mama, he is sooo cute!" Jay said and kissed his whole face.
Kerein started giggling.
"Jay," I said as I walked toward her.
She looked at me with sadness in her eyes.
"Mm... Jay, can we go on a date tonight?" I asked.
She smiled and shook her head.
"I'm not in the mood. Maybe another day," she said and kept her attention on Kerein.
"I'll go with you, Kuya," Kegain said.
"No need," I replied and sat beside Jay.
"Baby, I know I made a mistake. Please let me explain. I am sooo sorry," I said in a crying voice while making my puppy face.
I know I'm looking cute right now... it's my natural beauty.
"Okay," Jay said and stood up.
A huge smile appeared on my face.
"Okay, let's get ready," I said.
She gave Kerein to Mom and went upstairs.
"Keifer, what happened?" Mom asked.
I sat down and told her everything.
She smacked my head.
"Just like your father... get lost," she said.
I rubbed my head where she hit me and ran after Jay.
I went inside the room and saw her doing her makeup.
I wrapped my arms around her waist and nuzzled my face into her neck, inhaling her beautiful scent.
"I love you," I said and kissed her neck.
Her body shivered, but she kept a calm expression.
"Beautiful as always," I said.
She rolled her eyes and picked up her bag.
"Let's go," she said.
I nodded.
She left the room, and I called Aries.
"Is everything ready?" I asked.
"Yeah," he replied.
I ended the call and followed her.
As we reached downstairs, I saw Mom and Dad. Mom was scolding Dad while he stood there with his head down.
"What happened, Ma?" Jay asked.
"Nothing, baby. You both go... and don't spoil your mood because of him. That father and son are the same," Mom said.
I looked at Dad, and he glared at me.
"What happened?" I whispered.
"Idiot, why did you tell Serina? Now she's scolding me, saying I taught you this," Dad whispered back.
I covered my mouth to stop myself from laughing.
"I am ready!" Kegain said as he ran toward us.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"On a date with you and Ate," he said.
I sighed.
"Are you seriously going with us wearing this?" I asked, pointing at his jacket.
"Yeah. Why?" he asked.
"No. Go change and match with us," I said.
He nodded.
"Wait for me!" he shouted before running toward his room.
"Okay, Mom, Dad, we're leaving. Bye!" I said.
They waved at us, and we left.
As we were leaving, I heard Kegain's voice.
"Kuyaaa! You liarrr! You'll regret this!" he shouted.
I turned around, stuck my tongue out at him, then opened the passenger door for Jay.
She sat down, and I got into the driver's seat.
I played a romantic song and held her hand.
At first, she tried to pull away, but I kept holding it, so she gave up.
The whole ride was silent. Only the music was playing.
Soon we reached the location.
It was completely dark.
I opened the car door, and Jay stepped out.
"Baby, careful. You're wearing heels," I said.
She nodded.
I guided her to the centre, then clapped my hands.
The lights turned on, and everything came into view.
Fairy lights were everywhere, a beautiful table decorated with roses, and a big board.
Written on it were the words:
"I'm Sorry, Wife."
Jay turned around to look at me, and I knelt down.
"Jay, I'm really sorry. I know you didn't like that. I just wanted to make you jealous because you look cute when you're jealous. I'm really sorry," I said with my head down.
When I looked at her, I saw tears in her eyes.
I quickly stood up and wiped them away.
"I'm sorry," I whispered.
"I thought you didn't want me anymore. She is so beautiful and exactly your type. I even heard some people whispering while pointing at you and Ellina, saying you both looked like a cute couple. I also thought you didn't want me because I've been with you since childhood..." she said.
I didn't let her finish.
I crashed my lips onto hers.
Her eyes widened, but then she kissed me back.
"Jay, I'm really sorry. I didn't know you were thinking like this. And why would I not want you, huh? Jay, I love you exactly the same way I loved you when we were eleven... I think even more than that. And let people say whatever they want. I don't care. The only thing that matters to me is you. Don't ever think like that. I have always loved you, and I always will. No one can ever come between us," I said.
She nodded.
I wiped her tears and kissed her forehead.
"But I'm still angry at you," she said, crossing her arms.
"Okay... how can I make it up to you?" I asked.
"Hmm... I don't know. But I'm giving you a punishment. No booby for two days," she said.
My mouth fell open.
"Jay, no... pleassse! That's unfair," I complained.
"That's fair," she said and walked toward the table.
I pulled out a chair and helped her sit down.
I sat across from her and clapped my hands.
Three men wearing weird masks came in carrying our dinner.
They placed the food on the table and were about to leave when one of them said,
"Enjoy! It's served by handsome man."
The moment he spoke, we both knew who it was.
Jay removed his mask.
Yep... we were right.
Our ugly friend, Percy.
"What the... why are you here? Didn't you guys arrange waiters?" I asked.
"We didn't get time. Sorry," he said before running away.
The other two quickly ran after him.
"So... you planned this with them?" Jay asked.
I nodded.
She squeezed my cheeks ... my face turned red.
She chuckled, and we started eating.
I fed her, and she fed me too.
After dinner, we got back into the car and decided to go for a long drive.
I played another romantic song and held her hand.
We both started singing together.
I kissed her hand.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," she replied.
I parked the car and made her sit on my lap.
Her legs were wrapped around my waist.
I kissed her lips, and she kissed me back.
She stayed sitting like that while I started the car.
