The carriage door flung open. Anisha's heart jumped out of her chest, not excluding Juliana, who was having a panic attack.
"My ladies, we are being attacked by unknown men. Please run to safety," one of the guards who had escorted them to the market informed, breathing really heavily.
Juliana grabbed Anisha's hand instinctively.
"Anisha," her chest heaved up and down, "what's happening?"
"Let's go now," Anisha hurried, pulling her gently.
They came down from the carriage, the coachman sprawled dead.
A shriek escaped Juliana.
"I'll try to get back up, your Highness. Just follow that direction, and hide somewhere," the guard urged.
Anisha held Juliana's hand and ran along, but they weren't able to run much due to Juliana's situation.
"Oh my goodness," Juliana cried. Pain shot through her stomach. Tears had gathered in her eyes.
Whereas sheens of sweat had formed all over Anisha's body.
They stopped the light run they had managed so Juliana would cool off.
