"My God… how is this possible?!"
General Ross stared up at the massive robot towering above them, his voice filled with disbelief. The sight before him shattered everything he thought he understood about the world.
Howard Stark leaned slightly closer and spoke in a low voice.
"I did tell you, General."
Ross slowly nodded, still staring at the mechanical giant.
"Yes, Stark… you did," he admitted. "But now what are we supposed to do?"
He spread his hands helplessly.
Standing in front of a monster several meters tall, the pistol in his hand suddenly felt like a toy. It was completely useless.
Ross even suspected that calling in an entire army might not help unless they brought extremely heavy weapons.
"General Ross, relax," Howard said calmly. "Things aren't as bad as you think."
Ross glanced at him in surprise.
Howard's confidence puzzled him. Facing something like this, how could the scientist remain so calm?
Unfortunately, Ross didn't have time to question it.
Because the robot had already spoken.
Its massive head lowered slightly as glowing mechanical eyes fixed on Howard Stark.
"You recognized me."
Its metallic voice echoed across the parking lot.
"Yes," Howard replied quickly.
"I recognized you. You're not the first mechanical lifeform I've encountered."
The initial shock had faded from his expression. Now his eyes burned with the unmistakable excitement of a scientist confronting a groundbreaking discovery.
"What exactly are you?"
"Why did you come to Earth?"
"And why were you hiding near me and General Ross? What is your objective?"
Howard fired off the questions one after another.
These were mysteries he had been dying to solve.
The robot's response was immediate.
"You low-level creature," it said coldly. "You dare speak to me with such arrogance?"
It raised its enormous fist and slammed it into the ground.
Boom!
The impact shook the pavement violently.
Ross and Howard both felt the ground tremble beneath their feet. Cold sweat instantly appeared on their foreheads.
Standing in front of such a colossal monster created a suffocating sense of pressure. It was impossible to understand that feeling unless you experienced it firsthand.
Howard's bravado vanished.
He instinctively ducked behind a nearby car, crouching low and refusing to expose himself.
Ross and his bodyguard reacted the same way. Both quickly took cover behind another vehicle while drawing their pistols.
But even with guns in their hands, they felt no real sense of security.
Only one person remained standing calmly in the open.
Ryan Cross.
While everyone else scrambled for cover like frightened rats, he stood there casually, completely unbothered.
The contrast couldn't have been clearer.
Naturally, the robot's attention shifted to him.
"You…" the machine said slowly.
Recognition flashed across its mechanical face.
"It was you. The one who truly recognized me was actually you."
The robot finally understood.
The real key person wasn't Howard Stark.
It was the young man standing calmly in front of him.
"Mr. Stark. General Ross," Ryan said without even looking back. "Step away."
His tone was calm but firm.
Ross frowned.
"Stark, is he one of yours?" he whispered. "What is that kid doing?"
From Ross's perspective, the teenager looked like he was about to commit suicide.
"General Ross, don't ask questions," Howard replied immediately.
"Just listen to him."
"Let's move away. Now."
His voice carried surprising certainty.
Ross found the situation bizarre.
He didn't understand why Howard trusted the boy so completely, and he understood even less why the boy had told them to retreat.
Still, his instincts told him to follow the advice.
Ross and his bodyguard crouched low and quickly backed away, moving further across the parking lot.
Only after putting some distance between themselves and the robot did Ross speak again.
"Stark," he asked quietly, "what exactly are we doing? And what is that kid doing?"
Howard tilted his head slightly.
After thinking for a moment, he answered with complete seriousness.
"Maybe… he thinks we're getting in his way."
Ross stared at him in silence.
Meanwhile, the ground trembled again.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
While Ross and the others were retreating, the Decepticon had already begun confronting Ryan directly.
The exchange didn't last long.
Within only a few sentences, Ryan had clearly irritated the massive robot.
Angered, the Decepticon charged forward.
In just a few steps, it closed the distance between them.
Then it swung a fist larger than Ryan's head and smashed downward with terrifying force.
Ross's heart nearly stopped.
That kid is dead.
There was no way a human body could survive such a strike. The blow would reduce him to a smear on the pavement.
Clang!
The sound of metal colliding rang through the parking lot.
The Decepticon's fist stopped in midair.
It couldn't move another inch.
Because another fist was blocking it.
Ryan's fist.
He had simply raised his right hand and punched upward.
That small human fist—barely a few centimeters across—had stopped the giant mechanical arm as if it were a mountain.
The Decepticon couldn't push it down no matter how much force it applied.
The visual impact was unbelievable.
It looked as though a pebble had stopped a falling meteor.
Ross swallowed hard.
His face filled with disbelief.
How could something like this exist?
Was this even possible for a human being?
"Ryan… this is a little ridiculous, don't you think?" Howard muttered in stunned amazement.
Even though he had long known Ryan's true abilities, the ease with which he stopped the giant robot still shocked him.
Boom!
Another explosive sound echoed through the parking lot.
Ryan suddenly exerted force.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The Decepticon staggered as if struck by a massive shockwave.
Its enormous body stumbled backward step after step.
Then Ryan moved.
Whoosh!
He leapt forward without hesitation and threw a punch.
Bang!
The impact sent the gigantic robot flying through the air.
