Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 – The Golden Armor vs. Abomination

Teigu: Demon Haunted.

The armor was crafted from the remains of a legendary dragon-type Danger Beast known as Tyrande. Once worn, it dramatically amplified the physical abilities of its user and granted a defense comparable to an iron wall. It also came equipped with a built-in weapon called Red-Backed Shrike. Because the armor placed an enormous burden on the body, ordinary people would die the moment they attempted to wear it. In addition, it possessed a short-term invisibility function, and with sufficient mastery the wearer could even conceal their presence entirely.

Most frightening of all, the armor had the ability to evolve alongside its user.

This was the item Ethan Blake had summoned after the destruction of the Black Fire Gang and the death of Alexander Pierce.

Teigu.

Forged from legendary super-dangerous creatures, rare metals such as Orichalcum steel, and numerous lost forging techniques, each Teigu was a unique weapon that could never be replicated. Every one of them possessed extraordinary and distinctive abilities that made them terrifying artifacts on the battlefield.

Among them, Demon Haunted stood near the very top. Calling it the strongest of all Imperial Arms would hardly be an exaggeration.

The reason was simple.

The stronger the user, the greater the amplification the armor provided.

Demon Haunted.

Ethan called out the name silently in his mind. The armor immediately responded to his will, as if it possessed a consciousness of its own.

In the next instant, golden armor enveloped his entire body.

After receiving the perfect T-Virus serum enhancement, Ethan's physical condition had already surpassed human limits by a terrifying margin. The moment Demon Haunted wrapped around him, the armor underwent several rapid evolutionary adjustments to match his body.

Golden Armor Form.

For ordinary users, this state represented a limit the human body could barely endure. It was considered the ultimate form, something activated only in desperate life-or-death battles.

For Ethan, however, this form felt completely natural.

It was the state that suited him best.

Feeling the surge of strength flowing through every fiber of his body, Ethan slowly raised one arm and clenched his fist.

"Bang!"

The air in his grip detonated with a sharp explosion.

A trace of shock flickered through Ethan's eyes as he stared at his own hand. Even he had not expected the increase in strength to be this dramatic.

The power was staggering.

What surprised him even more was the armor's seamless integration with his body. Unlike traditional armor, Demon Haunted did not restrict his movements in the slightest. It clung to him like a second skin, responding instantly to every motion and thought.

Calling it armor almost felt inaccurate.

It was more like an extension of his own body.

Not far away, the shoulder-mounted rocket launcher had failed to inflict serious damage on Abomination. However, it had succeeded in doing something far more dangerous.

It had made him furious.

"ROAR!"

The monstrous roar erupted like a sonic blast, shattering every window within a hundred meters. Glass rained down across the street as Abomination charged forward.

Each of his massive steps covered enormous distance. Cars, street signs, and debris that blocked his path were violently thrown aside as if they weighed nothing.

Dozens of meters away, the two military pickup trucks stood helplessly in his path.

Abomination suddenly leapt into the air.

His enormous body cast a terrifying shadow over the vehicles. He clearly intended to crush everyone below with a single stomp, turning them into flattened meat.

The soldiers inside the trucks froze in terror. Their eyes were wide, their bodies rigid, completely unable to move as the monster descended.

At that moment—

A golden figure shot through the air from the side.

"Boom!"

A powerful kick slammed into Abomination's waist, sending the massive creature flying sideways like a cannonball.

The enormous body smashed through several walls in succession before finally coming to a stop in a pile of shattered concrete and twisted steel.

After a moment, the rubble shifted.

Abomination slowly stood up from the ruins.

His bloodshot eyes locked onto Ethan.

"You… not Hulk," he growled in a hoarse voice, his tone filled with savage excitement. "But you strong… so… I kill you."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Abomination lunged forward.

"Kill me?" Ethan laughed under the golden helmet. "Let's see if you can."

He dashed forward to meet the monster head-on.

Compared to Abomination's massive fists, Ethan's armored hands looked almost comically small. The difference in size between them was like that of a child facing a giant.

Yet when the two fists collided—

Boom!

A violent shockwave erupted from the impact.

The nearby cars were lifted off the ground and hurled away like toys, rolling and crashing across the street under the force of the blast.

Before becoming Abomination, Emil Blonsky had been an elite soldier.

Even after his transformation, fragments of his reason still remained. The Super Soldier Serum he had received earlier had intensified the aggression and ambition already present in his heart.

This made his power more stable than the Hulk's.

However, it also meant he lacked one critical trait the Hulk possessed: the ability to grow endlessly stronger with anger.

When his punch was stopped, a flicker of disbelief appeared in Abomination's eyes.

That disbelief quickly transformed into rage.

I gave up everything.

My honor. My body. My humanity.

I traded it all for power.

Wasn't I supposed to be the strongest?!

Kill him.

The thought flooded his entire mind.

With a savage roar, Abomination raised his other massive fist and smashed it downward toward Ethan's head.

But Ethan was faster.

The brief clash earlier had already given him a rough estimate of their respective strengths.

In Demon Haunted's golden form, Ethan's raw power was roughly equal to Abomination's.

But flexibility?

He was far superior.

And then there was another advantage.

Within his field of vision, Ethan could teleport instantly with a single thought.

Taking everything into account, he didn't even need to rely on Psychokinesis.

He could completely dominate Abomination.

"Hey, big guy," Ethan's voice echoed playfully. "I'm behind you."

With a flash of movement, he appeared directly behind the monster.

Abomination had not even finished turning around when Ethan launched his attack.

A powerful upward kick struck Abomination's lower body, sending the massive creature flying into the sky.

In the next instant—

Ethan vanished again.

He reappeared above Abomination mid-air.

His arms crossed together before swinging downward with explosive force.

The blow hammered Abomination toward the ground like a meteor.

Boom!

The monster crashed through the street, smashing deep into the pavement and sending cracks racing across the surrounding asphalt.

Ethan spread the wings that had just folded behind his armor, stopping effortlessly in mid-air.

Hovering above the battlefield, he looked down calmly at the crater below.

High above the area, a large military helicopter slowly approached the scene.

Inside were General Ross, Bruce Banner, and Betty Ross.

Moments earlier, they had watched Ethan's one-sided beating of Abomination through a soldier's live video feed.

Ross stared at the screen with a deeply furrowed brow.

"What the hell is that golden guy…" he muttered.

Beside him, Betty looked anxiously at Banner.

"Banner," she said softly, "do you still want to jump?"

Just moments ago, Banner had seriously considered leaping out of the helicopter, gambling that the Hulk would emerge before he hit the ground.

Banner stared at the image of Ethan pinning Abomination in the video. The golden figure looked even more powerful than the Hulk.

He swallowed hard.

"I think…" he said slowly, "…that probably won't be necessary."
