The maid got up, "Oh, right away!" She said, "Sorry, Miss Lucy, I have to run! Your Mother is resting, so if you want to wait for Master Lucian to play, go ahead and wait for him outside by the garden's benches!"

Lucy was hiding behind a hedge, seeing that in the distance, her father was standing across a taller man with blonde hair. She couldn't see her father's face, but she was able to tell that he was agitated, based on his body language.
She saw that next to her father, a young boy was standing with his arms crossed. He had blonde hair and was taller than Lucy herself; his foot was tapping on the ground impatiently. The mere sight of him made Lucy more at ease.
This was Lucian, her older brother, who was five years her senior. He bore a striking resemblance to Lucy and Layla Heartfilia, their Mother. It is as if Lucian was a male version of Layla and could pass off as Lucy's twin.
But the man in front of Lucian and Jude was worrying Lucy. He was taller than her father, with a much more imposing build. His spiky blonde hair had shades of black and his black eyes were piercing, almost unsettling. There was also something very unsettling about this man, something that Lucy couldn't comprehend nor stand. The mere sight of him was frightening and she was frozen still.
"So you're not going to let me see my own sister, Jude?" the Man said with a serious scowl, "You spit in the name of her family, huh? I should've known; you were always a spineless coward."
"If it were Galein, sure, I'd let him see Layla." Jude said, "But you??? Gale, you have no right in being here! Leave now, or I report you to the Magic Council!"
"What are those nerds going to do, Jude?" Gale said with a smirk, "Use Etherion on me? That's probably their best bet."
"Don't joke around." Jude said, "This is my home, Gale. I am sure that Layla's parents have taught you enough manners to not disrespect me in my own home."
Gale narrowed his eyes, "Watch it."
"You watch it." Jude said, "I've grown tired of you and your brother constantly coming and bothering me. You, to see Layla and stress her out even more. Galein, to try and convince her to let my son train with him."
"Hm...?" Gale looked at Lucian, who wasn't speaking much, "Oh, this one? Interesting. Why Galein, Jude? That brother of mine uses the Holy Bring, not the Dark Bring. This one is steeped in Darkness, why bother making him a Holy Sword?"
"Mind your business, Gale." Jude said with a scowl, "I've had it with you."
"Boy, come and train with me." Gale said, looking at Lucian, "With my teachings, you'd become powerful. Stronger than those fools that call themselves Wizard Saints."
"Is that what you came here for?" Lucian asked, raising an eyebrow, "To get me as your pupil, uncle?"
"Not really." Gale said, "I've come to see my baby sister, that is all."
"For the last time, No." Jude said, "I've said it enough times, leave."
"Tch..." Gale scowled, "This is the only time I will back off without a fight, Jude. Tell Layla I swung by and have her write to me."
"I will do that, but don't expect anything." Jude said, "Now, leave."
Gale turned around and chuckled, "Boy." He said as he walked away, "Your potential is great, you'd mage a fine swordsman."
Lucian narrowed his eyes, "Hm....."
"Don't listen to him, son." Jude said, "I won't let you train under that maniac."
"It's whatever." Lucian turned around and began to walk away
Lucy was still behind the hedge when Gale was gone, "What....?"
Lucian passed by Lucy, noticing her and stopping, "Lucy?" He said, "What are you doing out here?"
"Lucian!" Lucy stepped out, "You told me that you were going to play with me..."
Lucian smiled, "Oh, right." He said as he patted her head, "My bad, I got distracted."
