"Now, what should I call you?"
Sunny placed a finger on his chin and started to tap his foot. He was mumbling a few things to himself
"Should I name him Jormungandr, the serpent Neph told me? No, that's too long"
The Basilisk stared at Sunny before hissing and slitheribg away to explore. Sunny thought for awhile longer than exclaimed
"Doesn't gender count in your name? Hey come back!" Sunny kicked its tail which hurt his foot
The Basilisk came back and rested its head on the ground. Sunny stared at it before sighing
"So, are you a male?" Sunny crossed his arms
The Basilisk hissed angrily and its tongue nearly hit Sunny, but he managed to lean back to not touch it
"A female then" Sunny nodded and went back to thinking
The Basilisk coiled itself around Sunny and went to sleep, leaving enough room for Sunny to move 10 feet
Sunny sat down, and thought. Then suddenly an idea came to mind
"Aha! Wanna be called Medusa?" Sunny tapped on 'Medusa'
She lifted her head and hissed that Sunny discern as a 'Whatever' and plopped her head down
Sunny rolled his eyes and stood up, he climbed out of the small hole Medusa made and jumped down onto the ground
When he looked up, all of the Twilight Keepers stood there frozen. Sunny looked at them and asked
"What? What's with everyone looking at me strangely?"
None of then moved until a man who Sunny recently found out his name was 'Shim' pointed behind him
Sunny raised an eyebrow and turned around to see Medusa staring at all of them with disinterested in her eyes
"Oh, her, don't worry she won't bite, at least I don't think so?" Sunny shrugged and walked past the horrified Twilight Keepers
'Crazy people' Sunny opened the door by copying what Nephis did on the door and went in
Sunny wandered around in the building before making his way to the kitchen to cook up some desserts
He went in the kitchen and saw Nephis cooking something, he walked over and looked at what she was cooking
"Wha'cha cooking?" Sunny smiled
Nephis flinched in surprise before immediately calming herself and saying nonchalantly
"Just something simple to eat" Nephis shrugged and continued cooking
"So you won't mind if I use your other cooking supplies to cook for myself?"
Nephis glanced at him with a small frown before saying
"I can just cook something for you"
Sunny blinked a few times before shaking his head
"No it's fine, I want to cook for myself" Sunny walked around the kitchen, searching for some cooking appliances (Sunny my ausitic boi, your soon to be ausitic girlfriend wants to cook for you, LEARN TO GET A HINT!)
Sunny found a few appliances and placed them on the stove, next to Nephis. Both of them cooked shoulder-to-shoulder with each other
They bickered, asking for a few tips from each other, telling each other the flaws of their foods. And soon they were finished
"I wonder if anyone else wants to eat?" Sunny placed his pancakes on his plate and giving some to Nephis
Nephis shrugged and cut up some meat, sprinkling some meat on Sunny's pancake. Sunny placed a couple of fruits on his pancake and gave salt to Nephis
After helping each other in adding the finishing touches to their dishes, they sat down and ate
Sunny fiddled with the fork before saying
"Been awhile since we used things to eat, instead of our hands" Sunny grinned as he ate his fluffy pancakes
Nephis nodded with a small smile and ate her steak in quite a good mood. Then a small giggle broke through the silence
They turned to the source of the sound and saw Cassie and Effie, Cassie was holding her mouth with one hand and holding her stomach with the other, Effie was holding her commnicater and it was recording
Then suddenly her commnicater blew up, Effie jerked backwards and her mouth hung wide open
"My commnicater!" Effie grumbled and turned to Cassie
"Did you at least get the footage?" Effie looked at Cassie, Cassie nodded and ran away. Effie followed (Effie ran from food? Inconceivable! But anything to embarrass Princess I guess)
Sunny and Nephis stared blankly at the spot where Cassie and Effie was before Sunny let out a loud groan
"Whatever, we'll find the thing later, I already sent Saint to crush it" Sunny took another bite of his food
They ate in silence, but Sunny could notice Nephis cover hear face by turning a bit away, Sunny didn't pay it much mind
After a whole lot of things happened that Sunny didn't care about. But finally he was in a room with Nephis, reading to fight, to train essence, and using their new abilities
In one second, they were a meter apart, holding training swords for Ascended, in a fighting stance. In the next, both of them disappeared and clashed, breaking the training swords instantly
Nephis tumbled and fell onto Sunny, after their little tumble, Nephis pushed off Sunny and stood up, helping Sunny up as well
"I think we went too far" Sunny threw away the broken sword with a sigh
Nephis nodded and threw the sword as well
"I'm going to test my new Aspect abilities, I recommend you train your essence" Sunny walked a bit away to a shady corner and made a strange tentacle
Nephis nodded and sat down, circuitlating essence through her body
Sunny had fun teleporting around the manor to scare a few people-he didn't go into bathrooms-and now it was time to train Shadow Manifestation
After he made a few tendrils, Sunny decided to make some weapons. He made a simple long sword and tossed it to Nephis, whom caught it without opening her eyes
She opened her eyes and examined it. After a minute of Nephis just looking at it, she threw it back and said
"The weight is wrong, the blade is not perfectly straight and it's length is too short for a long sword, try again" Nephis closed her eyes and went back to circuitlating her essence
Sunny rolled his eyes as he caught the sword, he summoned Midnight Shard to try and replicate it. And after 30 attempts, he was able to almost perfectly copy it, but it felt a little off
Sunny threw to Nephis again and she caught it. She took a quick look and said
"There's too much weight on the blade, make the shadow weigh less then it will work" she threw it back
Sunny caught it, made the shadow weigh less and compared it to Midnight Shard. Deeming it good enough, he asked Nephis for one more duel, but with the swords
They stood apart, and readied themselves. They shot towards each other like a bullet and both of their sword clashed
"Not bad!" Sunny grinned and jump back
Nephis had a small smile on her face as she dashed back, aiming for Sunny's arm
Sunny saw this through Shadow Dance, so he positioned himself to deflect the attack, but it was a feint, the real parry was that he was going to hit her with the flat side of the blade
Nephis guessed this so she changed her trajectory to slash his leg, and it shot down
Sunny grinned and changed the position he was holding the sword so it would block the attack on his leg
Nephis hit Sunny's blade, so she slid up the blade to lock Sunny's crossguard in a awkward position to do anything. She pressed forward, pushing him against a wall
Sunny grinned and kneed Nephis in the stomach-gently, he wouldn't want to actually hurt Nephis-she grunted and jumped back
Beads of sweat rolled down her face, making her allumunating face shine more, but Sunny only allowed himself to get dazzled for a split second
Sunny dashed forward, meeting Nephis blade again. They clashed again and again for an hour
Both of them were breathing heavily until Sunny said
"I think we had enough fun" he grinned
Nephis nodded with a smile, not a small smile, a real smile. Sunny smiled at the sight before groaning loudly and crashing onto the ground with a thud
Sunny summoned [Endless Spring] and drank a lot of water. Nephis sat next to him and took [Endless Spring] when Sunny offered it to her, she gave it back to him
Sunny sat up and took of his shirt and poured water over his body. Shaking his head dry, he wore his shirt again and laid back onto the ground
An hour has passed and Nephis decided to leave Sunny alone in the basement. Sunny sat up, rubbed his face and made some more tendrils
He spent quite a bit of time down there, making weapons, inanimate objects, he even made all 6 of his shadows into tangible objects but took a lot out of him
And he found out what [Remnants of Shadow] Memory did, when it wasn't activated the Memory would form as two horns on top of Sunny's head. When activated, Sunny would grow in size and grow arms as well, he would grow six arms and 4 horns
And he did that, Nephis walked in and saw Sunny reaching the roof of the basement
Sometimes Nephis came down to bring some food or to just spend some time with him, either way, Sunny enjoyed the company
But this time, the entire cohort came down with Nephis
Sunny raised an eyebrow before asking
"What? Did something happen?"
Nephis shook her head and walked towards Sunny
"It's just that you have been down here for about 5 days"
Sunny's mouth twitched
"I have been in here for how long again?" Sunny forced a smile and stood up
Cassie coughed and specified
"You have been here for 5 days and 3 hours, your Shadow's are also running wild"
Sunny sighed and Shadow Stepped outside to see the Twilight Keepers sliding down Medusa
"What the hell?" Sunny mumbled to himself
Saint was watching silently, Medusa was coiled up and the Twilight Keepers were sliding down her, Crene was flapping its wings to cool down the Twilight Keepers that asked
Sunny rubbed his face before throwing his hands up into the air
"Screw it! I'm showering and then going to sleep" Sunny teleported near Cassie
He tapped her on the shoulder and asked
"Where's my room? I forgot to ask"
Cassie turned to look at him and tilted her head
"I think it's the room next to Neph" Cassie didn't say anything, then she nodded and smiled
"Yeah, the room next to Neph" she told him the direction and Sunny teleported there
