A young pale man was yelling at multiple creatures. One was a massive snake, there was two beautiful steeds, another was a statue that looked like a painting that was redrawned multiple times till perfection...
And they were all ignoring the young man
"Are you guys even listening?! Oh, damn you all to hell!" Sunny screamed at them
Medusa turned towards him before tucking her head back into her coiled body. Crene and Nightmare was paying little attention to their dumb master. Saint was looking off to the distance, seemly interested at something
Sunny angrily turned to see what was Saint looking at, and was quite surprised. He saw the whole cohort walking up to him
He waved at them before giving his shadows permission to wander around the Ivory Tower
Eventually, the cohort went to his area and Cassie spoke
"We have some news"
Sunny raised an eyebrow before gesturing for Cassie to continue
"Apparently, someone broke out of the Night Temple and he's running wild, we're just telling you to be careful since you're planning on hunting later"
Sunny smiled and swung his arm around Cassie's shoulder and said
"I am very hard to kill, so don't worry" he gave her a thumbs up
Cassie nodded and muttered
"Still. Be careful"
Nephis shifted her weight on one foot to the other at seeing Sunny and Cassie interact, until Effie whispered into her ear, making her flinch slightly
"Missing Sunny's touch?" Effie grinned like the devil, with a gleam of mischief in her eyes
"No" Nephis replied immediately, a little too fast even
Effie turned to look at Kai and he shook his head
'Traitor' Nephis thought before sneakily running off to avoid Effie teasing
The main purpose of Sunny's hunts was, completing [Mantle of the Underworld] requirements, earning Memories to feed his gluttonous shadow's, and last but not least, earning his Titan Core
Sunny was riding Crene as they were annihilating a massive nest of Nightmare Creatures. Saint was facing off against the horde with indifference in her eyes while Nightmare was swinging his hooves against them
Sunny was grinning madly as the Shadow Fragments kept pouring into his Shadow Cores. He could could almost taste his Titan Core
Eventually, Sunny wanted to have fun as well. He commanded Crene to dash into the horde of Nightmare Creatures
These creatures wouldn't give too much trouble, most of them were Fallen Monsters, some were Demons and Devils. But they were serving under a Fallen Terror
But Sunny already studied them extensively until he decided to finally get rid of them
Sunny jumped off Crene as she crammed into a abomination. He summoned [Remnants of Shadow] and became a towering fiend
Then, the shadows grew deeper, until it lashed out at the unassuming abominations. The tendrils of shadow were ripping, tearing, crushing, impaling and smacking the abomination with the strength of a master
A couple of abomination lunged towards the towering Terror. The Terror's mouth shifted an a ear deafening roar bellowed out from its terrifying maw
All the abominations froze, only the terrifying abominations that were as dark as the Terror itself was still moving, still massacring them
'... Well, ain't that terrifying' a man was watching from afar
He chuckled as he continued observing the massacre
While Sunny was having the time of his life
'Die! Die! Die!' he was laughing maniacally when he received a new Memory
Sunny grabbed one of the snouts of the abominations that attacked him, and smashed it against another abomination. He slashed downwards the cut another abomination in half
He ran forward, intending to enter the cave to kill their leader. There was still quite a way to go, but Saint was already bulldozing her way to aid Sunny
Sadly, he only had six shadows, so he only had two shadows empowering him. All of his Shadow's received one, although Medusa seemed reluctant to let Creepy onto her, which is, fair enough
He saw in the distance, Medusa eating three abominations at once in her giant maw, she looked like she was having a bunch of fun, although, she did prefer lazing around
Nightmare and Creme was helping each other, Crene covered their blindspots by using her [Airwalker] ability to basically make the enemies lunge at a wall to let either Nightmare or her to cave their skull in
Saint was in front of Sunny, cutting everything in her way to make way for Sunny
Sunny kneeled down and dashed forward with inhuman speed. Reaching the cave entrance in a few seconds
He ducked down to not his his head on the cave entrance. He scanned the cave swiftly to find the Fallen Terror
A growl resounded in the deep end of the cave. Sunny shifted his focus to the area where the growl came from
A massive wolf was standing there, teeth barred with saliva dripping down from its terrifying maw
'... Aren't you a ugly thing' Sunny thought to himself before slowly walking towards the wolf
The Terror must have figured out that it would die, if it attacked, but the stench of human souls was too desirable
It growled before lunging at Sunny. Sunny raised his hands to grab the thing's neck and jaw
Sunny used his arms to hold it in place mid-air. He maneuvered two of his arms to grip the Terror's upper jaw and it's lower jaw, intending to tear it apart
The Terror's legs kept trying to break free of Sunny's hold, but it was futile
He pulled, it resisted. Sunny tried way harder, his muscles was straining to squeeze out as much strength as it could
Then, a snap. The Terror's body went limp. Sunny could see it's jaw loosely hang when he let go of it
[You have slain an Fallen Terror, Aplha of the Dreadwolfs]
[Your Shadow grows stronger!]
Sunny ducked under the cave entrance to go out to massacre the rest of the abominations. There was only a few left. Medusa slowly slithered up to them before hissing loudly
The rest of the Dreadwolfs growled before Sunny appeared from behind them and crushed them effortlessly with all of his hands
Sunny dismissed [Remnants of Shadow]. He landed softly on the ground when his height went back to normal
He glanced at his Shadows. He dismissed all of them as his shadows slithered back to him
He whistled quietly before he turned his head to look at something, and somewhere there, there was a person
Instantly, he got sent into his Soul Sea for no apparent reason
'Huh?' Sunny was confused as he looked around
Then suddenly, a man was approaching him calmly. Whistling a calm tune with an pleased smile on his face
His mirror like eyes bore into his own
"Nice to meet you..... Uh, I don't know your name" the man thought for a second before shrugging
"No matter, you'll die either way" he smiled pleasantly again
But then, someone grabbed the unknown man shoulders
"Hey, brat, you must be Vale's kid" Broken Sword pulled his shoulders to face him
Then, another thing grabbed his shoulder. It was the Mountain King, all of it's flightless white eyes stared at the man before he disappeared
Sunny was ejected out of his Soul Sea. His steps faltered for a bit before stabilisating himself to ponder over what happened
He eventually made the decision to get somewhere safe, then ask Broken Sword about it
He quickly made his way to the Ivory Tower. Greeting a few of the Twilight Keepers on the way
He eventually reached his room - which is just another part of Nephis room -, he lazily crept into his bed and dove into his Soul Sea
He appeared again, this time, Broken Sword was standing right in front of him
He recoiled to look at Broken Sword, even if it meant breaking his neck. He then asked
"Do you know what just happened?" both of them said at the same time
Both of them coughed before muttering out a few incoherent things before Sunny insisted on Broken Sword answering his question
Broken Sword shrugged before saying lazily
"I don't know what exactly happened, but I do know that he's Vale's kid. Anvil for you"
Sunny thought for a second before sighing and rubbing his face with his palm
"Damnation"
They stayed quiet for awhile before Broken Sword said
"Vale never liked the kid, but to go so far as to imprisoning him. He really has changed" Broken Sword scratched his chin
Sunny was confused, imprisonment? Until the puzzle pieces started to snap into place. He deduced almost nothing, there were too little evidence, nothing to work with, he'll have to dig into this later
