Flashy, luxury branded cars of different sizes, shapes and colors parked in Kings' and Queens' High School.
Another academic year has began.
Another School King and Queen will rule.
In class E, known as Class of Excellence, the class was noisy with people chit-chatting among themselves.
A group of girls were deliberating about the next school King and Queen.
One of the girls named Mimi said
Mimi:"Who's gonna be the next school Queen?"
Yvonne another girl chirped in
Yvonne:"Hmm.... I'm beautiful, rich, popular. It's gonna be me right?"
Glenda:"We girls are beautiful, rich, popular and everything you can think of but it can't be all of us. It's got to be...be...be..."
They understood what she meant.
"Biancaa!!!!" They chorused with cheers and applause.
Bianca was among them.
The proud air around her made her superior.
Bianca:"I'm beautiful", she said touching her face,"My family is the second richest family in Newzee City,
I'm the most popular and the female hearthrob among all the girls in Kings'and Queens' High,
I date any guy of my taste, I've never been dumped but I've dumped guys.
I've got good grades and I'm in Class E. I'm so powerful among the students in this school.
That makes me the incoming School Queen!!!!"
She sat n a posture making her look like a queen while the others were cheering her, "Long live our Queen Bianky!!! Queen Bianky!!! Queen Bianky!!! Long live our only School Queen Bianca Olson."
"But...?", Mimi said with a worried expression.
Glenda:"What's it?"
Mimi:"Ashton?" She looked in his direction. He was chatting with his friends." You haven't won Ashton over."
Yvonne:"Yh. It might be quite a challenge."
Bianca:" Challenge?",she sneered. " A girl like me can't be ignored by Ashton. His family is the first richest in the city and my family is the second. If I'm not qualified, who else is? With just a snap", she snapped her fingers," OMG, he'll be head over heels for me. Just wait and watch."
The three girls continued praising her.
Ashton and his guys were also discussing about the school King and Queen election.
Ray, one of they guys spoke
Ray:" Ashton, this post is yours"
Alex:" Obviously, it's his. He was at the top of everything. The girls loved him, he was the school's male hearthrob, a playboy, a jerk and any girl was willing to leave her guy for him.
Zen:" Ashton seemed to have won everyone over but there's one left."
Ashton's face darkened," Who's that?"
Zen pointed to a girl sitting alone reading a book.
Ashton was taken aback, he had never noticed her before.
Ashton:" Who's she?"
They scratched their head thinking of her name.
" No idea", Alex gave up.
Zen:" Same"
Ray:" I don't know her name and I guess she's never spoken in class."
Zen:" Maybe, you never noticed her so she didn't get into you."
Ashton:" Ray, go and ask for her name."
Ray:" Sure"
He stood up, tucked his shirt and straightened his collar. He walked over to her table and sat on it.
"Hey classmate, I'm Ray Whyte and you are?",he said in a sweet voice.
The girl never lifted her head from her book.
One second
Two seconds
Three seconds....
Thirty seconds
No response, neither did she lift her head.
"You are?",he asked again, a surge of impatience ran through his veins.
He tried to pull the book out of her hand but her grip on his hand was quick with a cold glare shot at him.
A shiver run down his spine.
He stammered," I...I-", but her response was straight and quick," Leave!"
Ray rushed back to his friends,
Ray:" Ashton, forget about her, you can be School King without winning her over."
Zen:"Ray, what do you mean by that?"
Ray:" I don't think Ashton can win her over. She's just difficult."
Ashton:" Got her name?
Ray:" No" he was quite terrified, " Ash, forget her"
Ashton:" If she's a challenge, I'll gladly take on that challenge"
Alex:" You have four months to her over."
Ashton:" Alright, it's a bet. If I win I'll be the school King but if I lose, I won't accept the position and I'll give you guys a million dollars each"
Ray:" Are you sure about this?"
He was trying to recover from her glare he received.
Ashton:" Yeah. That's my decision"
Alex:" Decision finalized, the reward 'School King ' position and the punishment is no School King position and also a million dollars bill for us Alex, Ray and Zen."
Zen:" Sign here.", he handed Ashton an agreement stating the challenge.
Each of them had a copy all with Ashton's signature.
Alex:" Good, challenge starts... NOW!!!"
