The pack house was completely silent.
All the elders were staring at Ariana like she was a dangerous secret.
Ariana felt extremely uncomfortable.
She had never imagined that one day she would be standing inside a werewolf pack territory.
One of the elders stepped forward again.
"Alpha Jayden, you know our laws," he said seriously.
"A human who knows our secret cannot simply walk free."
Ariana's hands trembled slightly.
Jayden's expression remained cold.
"I know the law," he replied.
"Then what do you suggest we do?" another elder asked.
Jayden looked directly at Ariana.
"For now… she stays under my protection."
The elders looked shocked.
"That is risky," one of them warned.
Kayden suddenly chuckled from the corner of the room.
"I think it's a great idea," he said casually.
Everyone looked at him.
Kayden walked closer to Ariana and studied her face.
"Besides," he added, "she already works in our house."
Ariana frowned.
"You're talking about me like I'm not even here."
Kayden smirked.
"Oh, we know you're here."
Jayden stepped forward, clearly annoyed.
"Enough."
He turned toward Ariana.
"You'll stay at the mansion like before."
Ariana crossed her arms.
"Wait… I didn't agree to any of this."
Jayden's eyes narrowed slightly.
"You don't really have a choice."
Ariana opened her mouth to argue, but stopped.
Deep down, she knew he was right.
She had seen something she was never supposed to see.
The elders finally nodded reluctantly.
"Very well, Alpha," one of them said.
"But if she causes any trouble…"
Jayden's voice cut through the room.
"She won't."
The meeting ended.
Outside the pack house, Ariana walked beside Jayden and Kayden again.
She sighed heavily.
"My life was already complicated… and now this."
Kayden laughed.
"Welcome to the werewolf world."
But Jayden remained silent.
Because his wolf instincts were still restless.
The closer Ariana stayed to him…
The stronger the feeling became.
And deep down, Jayden knew something dangerous.
Ariana might not just be a human.
She might be the Alpha's destined mate.
