Chapter One: The Wedding Night
In a kingdom among many, there ruled a king named Claude, known for his ruthless heart and strict rule. Whoever made a mistake in his kingdom was punished in ways no one could imagine. Yet, because of this ruler's principles, peace spread throughout the kingdom—out of fear of his wrath and unforgiving punishment.
Claude had no friends, except for one. Only one person he trusted completely: Wilcestone, the second-in-command, the man responsible for making decisions after the king.
Days passed, and Claude married a lady named Marie, daughter of the ruler of a neighboring kingdom. Together, they had three sons and one daughter named Miral—the closest to her father's heart.

Chapter Two: The Last Invitation
One night, King Claude, his family, and everyone in the kingdom were summoned to the wedding of Wilcestone's eldest son. Everyone was busy preparing for the celebration, given Wilcestone's status as the king's brother-like companion.
Amid all the commotion, no one noticed the worry and confusion on King Claude's face.
When Wilcestone came personally to invite the king, he noticed the change. He approached him cautiously and said:
— My lord... has something happened?
Claude looked at him with suspicion, then placed a hand on his shoulder and said:
— No need for such formality between us.
Wilcestone smiled and replied:
— I thought addressing you formally would be safer than facing your wrath. But tell me... what is this confusion I see, my lord?
Claude gazed at him for a long moment, then spoke before turning to leave:
— Forgive me, my friend... I cannot attend your son's wedding. I have something important to do.
