Chapter 51 - Chapter 51 — The One Who Was Hidden

Kael didn't move.

The word remained inside his mind.

Hide him.

Not kill.

Not destroy.

Hide.

"From whom?" Kael asked.

The Crownblade remained silent.

The observer answered instead.

"From you."

Kael's fingers tightened around the blade.

"That doesn't make sense."

"It wasn't supposed to."

The fragments surrounding him began to tremble.

One by one, they turned black.

Not disappearing.

Being erased.

Kael watched as entire versions of reality vanished without leaving even a trace.

"How many?" he whispered.

The observer understood.

"How many versions of me were erased?"

Silence.

Then:

"All of them."

Kael looked up.

"All?"

"Every version that discovered the truth."

A cold pressure settled over his chest.

"And what truth was that?"

The Crownblade finally spoke.

"You were never the survivor, Kael."

He stared at it.

"What?"

"You were the original."

The world seemed to stop.

The observer's presence grew stronger.

Every fragment around Kael suddenly showed the same image.

A young Kael.

Standing before the system.

Creating it.

Not fighting it.

Creating it.

Kael shook his head.

"No."

"You built the first system."

"No."

"You created the observer."

"No!"

"And when you realized what you had done…"

The Crownblade's voice became almost a whisper.

"You erased yourself."

Kael's breathing became uneven.

"That isn't possible."

"It is."

"Then why don't I remember?"

"Because you made sure you wouldn't."

The fragments began collapsing toward the center.

The impossible space was shrinking.

Kael looked at the Crownblade.

"Why did you remember?"

The blade was silent for several seconds.

Then it answered:

"Because you didn't create me to protect you."

Kael's eyes widened.

"You created me…"

The blade trembled.

"To kill you if you ever remembered."

A crack appeared beneath Kael's feet.

The observer spoke one final time.

"And now you remember."

The darkness opened.

Something enormous moved beneath reality.

Kael raised the Crownblade.

For the first time, the weapon did not resist him.

It simply waited.

Kael looked into the darkness.

Then he smiled.

Not because he wasn't afraid.

Because now he finally understood.

"This time," he said quietly, "I choose what happens next."

And somewhere beyond the broken system—

something answered.

"Then choose."
