The army camp in Kashmir had become tense and silent.
Snow covered the ground as soldiers prepared for a dangerous mission near the border between India and Pakistan.
Lieutenant Ram stood among them, adjusting his uniform and checking his equipment.
His commander walked toward him.
"Ram," he said seriously, "this mission is extremely risky. We need someone to cross the border secretly and gather information about the enemy's plan."
Ram nodded immediately.
"I'll go."
The commander studied him carefully.
"You understand the danger. If something goes wrong, we may not be able to rescue you."
Ram remained calm.
A single thought filled his mind—Sita.
He remembered her laughter, her bright eyes, and the promise he made to return.
"I'll complete the mission," Ram said confidently.
Before leaving, he wrote one more letter to Sita.
"Dear Sita,
I have an important mission tonight. I cannot tell you where I am going.
But I promise you one thing…
No matter what happens, I will find my way back to you."
He sealed the letter and handed it to a fellow soldier.
"Send this if I don't return in three days."
Then Ram and his small team disappeared into the dark mountains.
The cold wind howled as they crossed the dangerous border.
None of them knew that this mission would change Ram's life forever
