ALEX'S POV
Life's been really good lately. Infact it's been great my uncle contacted me saying i should prepare that everything's ready, am not going to enter college immediately though, cause they are still in session and i need to prepare for their entrance exam and all that.
I was really happy when i heard the news, i haven't told any one in my family, they didn't know that i was talking with my uncle. I didn't want anybody to know especially my dad.
I had planned to tell Jessica, when i met her the other day about spending time with my siblings but i was very preoccupied and i just couldn't tell her at that time. But, anyways am planning to tell her about it today or any other day i see her.
"What do you mean by you are leaving soon?" My dad asked me. He didn't even wait for me to finish what i was saying, before asking me questions.
"I mean what i said, dad" I repiled. Then continued what i was saying earlier.
"I continued uncle sometime ago, and he promised to contact me back to know if what i am asking is possible or not....."
".....Then, he contacted me yesterday saying that by next week i should be ready that i would be coming to stay with him" i told my parents. My two siblings were seated there but they were too busy doing their own things. They might have not heard 'cause they didn't react like there senior brother was leaving.
My parents stared at me like i had just said the most surprising thing ever but i don't care because that's that.
"So...you are really just going to leave". My mom asked. She really looked worried that i would be leaving, but my dad just stared at me as if trying to ask me 'what about the marriage?'.
" Yeah, i have to do____"
"What about the plans you made here?" My dad asked after interrupting me.
"Plans?" I asked him.
"I didn't make any____" before i could continue i hear a knock at the door. I got up to check and saw it was Jessica's mom. Although she didn't really look pleased to be here. I invited her in and she entered, after some moment of talking with my parents, she asked me a question i couldn't have expected in my life.
"Did yiu stalk my daughter?" She asked her face serious as she looked at me.

Many questions went through my mind. I could not understand what was going on. My parents were equally confused, the atmosphere was becoming awkward.
"No ma, did she say i stalked her?"
"That's why am asking you, she's too scared to tell us anything about it"
"Scared?"
She's scared to tell them what exactly?.
"You can't stalk someone and you will think she will go around saying the identity"
"But she can go around saying i stalked her?" I said my voice rising a bit, did jess really do this? Why? Did i stalk her then forget about it or what?.
Where are all this stupid accusations coming from.
"You can't just come into our house accusing our son of what he did not do, what audacity?".
" I just need him to answer honestly, i don't believe that he did it but the pieces add up" Jess mom repiled.

"I stalked her?" I asked surprised. Jess mom finally settled down and explained the 'pieces' saying i was the stalker she met that day because she also met me that day.
How did i manage to stalk someone and still spend most of my time with she and her family?.
"Let the Jessica tell us this herself"
"Why?" Her mom asked my dad.
"What do you mean 'why' she said something you put pieces together you are accusing my son of stalking her, and she has not admitted it yet".
I am not accusing him, but ever since i confronted her yesterday she didn't say anything, like she's afaird of something, so i just want to know if you stalked her of if you know some one who did" jess mom asked.
And just then Jessica entered our house, heads down like she was avoiding everything and every one.
"Jess did i stalk you?". I asked but she did not answer.
" Why did you lie? Did someone threaten you?". When i asked if she was threatened she rose up her head as if trying to say some thing but dropped it back almost immediately.
"Jessica calm down and just nod if you don't want to talk" my mom told her when she kept on ignoring our questions.
"Did my son stalk you?" My mom asked her calmly. Then she nodded affirmatively saying yes.
I stalked her? So my friendship was all just a stalking vibe?.
Whatever happened next i was not aware i just stared blankly at nothing in particular. Jess betrayed my trust, our friendship, if she ever saw me as one, and she betrayed my feelings for her. Just because of what? Because our friendship meant nothing.
"Why did you do it?" I asked her from behind. I had confronted her on her way out of my house. She turned then looked down avoiding my gaze.
" I....., didn't mean to" she repiled heads down.
"What do you mean by that?. You betrayed me and you did not mean to?" I asked but she didn't answer.
"You've spoiled my name in this town where everyone knows everything and will eventually know about this, and that's your reply?" I asked but she still kept quiet.
"Well.... am leaving so you won't see me any time soon". I said leaving her standing alone.
The only thing that mattered right now, was leaving this forsaken town with their forsaken people in it.
