Ma Danna's expression softened into a touch of warmth as she saw A Xiu's willingness to share the medicine. Looking at her, she said softly, "There's no need, Sister A Xiu. Although that jerk turned me into a zombie, this kind has no side effects. I don't strictly need to drink blood; I can still eat normal food."
A Xiu blinked in surprise. "You can eat normal food? Miss Ma, how is that possible?"
"Just call me Danna. Honestly, I'm not sure how it works either. It's likely due to the unique properties of the bloodline. By the way, Sister A Xiu, did that bastard say where he was going?"
A Xiu shook her head. "He didn't. He only spoke to me about Brother Kuang and Fu-sheng's current situation. He left behind two bottles of pills and some information before vanishing."
"In that case, I'll set out to find him myself," Ma Danna decided. "Sister A Xiu, even though you have those pills and don't need to feed, you must still be careful to hide your true nature. If you cross paths with a wandering Daoist,
you'll be in grave danger. Furthermore, you shouldn't stay among the villagers for too long. Since you will no longer age, staying in Red Creek Village indefinitely is impossible. As long as Brother Kuang remains within The Divine Land, you will eventually meet him."
Ma Danna's visit was brief. Since Qiu Xia was no longer in the village, she saw no reason to linger. In the days that followed, she decided to stop pursuing Cheung San and instead focused her efforts on finding that jerk, Qiu Xia. Once she caught him, she planned to make him find a way to change her back. If he couldn't, then she would turn the bastard into a zombie as well.
However, many years would likely pass before she ever found him. With his "cheat" helping him stay hidden and the way he had ruthlessly schemed against Fate itself, their timelines were no longer in sync.
The One Piece World
Following Qiu Xia's departure, the zombiesdevoid of any natural predatorsexpanded at a terrifying rate. Faced with the sudden plague, the Marines and the high-ranking officials of the World Government deployed several Admirals and even sought to suppress the outbreak with the help of the Four Emperors.
Yet, when faced with the undying bodies of the zombies, even these legends found the struggle exhausting. In desperation, Imu finally authorized the use of the power of Uranus.
The initial strike of Uranus was devastating, incinerating a massive number of zombies. However, many managed to escape. Driven to madness by the attack, the survivors became even more frenzied. Imu was forced to continue the bombardment until the energy reserves of Uranus were completely depleted.
The madness of the Celestial Dragons and Imu brought about horrific consequences. The zombies of the Cheung San bloodline derived power from intense emotions like hate or love. Some zombies, witnessing the death of their kin or lovers in the explosions,
evolved directly into Second-generation Zombies. While these Second-generation Zombies could not exert the full power they might have possessed in their original world, they were still far more powerful than any of the Four Emperors.
Imu was powerful, but he was only one person. On the other hand, the reckless bombardment had inadvertently created several Second-generation Zombies. Without the aid of Uranus, Imu was quickly overwhelmed and killed.
The World Government was overthrown, leaving the world in utter chaos. It was impossible to know how long it would take for a new order to emergeperhaps only when the first Red-eyed Zombie appeared.
As the zombie population swelled, the birth of a Demon Star became more likely. The blood of a Demon Star was the key to breaking the bottlenecks within the zombie hierarchy. If a Red-eyed Zombie with the ambition to rule ever appeared, the world would be unified in short order.
In a lingering Marine branch office in the East Blue, a beautiful woman with glasses sat at a table, flipping through a mountain of newspapers. As she took in the news of the world's state, a look of despair crossed her face.
"What kind of world did I even transmigrate into?" she muttered. "The power system was supposed to be Devil Fruits and the Three Colors of Haki. This is definitely the One Piece world... so why are there Ninjas in the New World? I could tolerate that, but what the hell is up with these zombies?"
"Zombies with fangs that aren't afraid of the sun? They don't look like anything that 'Onion Head' Moria could produce. Instead, their strength is divided by eye colorblack, white, gray, blue, yellow, and green. This is exactly like the zombies from My Date with a Vampire."
"How did they get to this world? Did they smuggle themselves in?"
After venting for a while, she sighed. "I thought transmigrating into Tashigi would be great. I figured I could use my resemblance to Kuina to follow the crew and pick up some benefits. But now the plot is completely broken. How am I supposed to play this?"
"The pirates here are strong, some even reaching catastrophe-level, but if those really are zombies from My Date with a Vampire, a Second-generation level is essentially in the realm of gods and Buddhas. Plus, they're immortal.
How do you fight that? Maybe I should just find someone to turn me into a zombie and be done with it. But if I do that, I can't eat real food anymore. One bite and I'll be stuck in the bathroom..."
"Forget it. I'll just take it one step at a time."
Time flew by. In the blink of an eye, two years had passed since Qiu Xia had left this world. During those two years, the world order was reconstructed. The Four Seas and the New World were now divided and ruled by thirty-five Second-generation Zombies.
Among these thirty-five, ten were male and twenty-five were female. Initially, Qiu Xia had used the Jiangshi Transformation Pills to create seventy zombies. Nine were placed within his own organization,
while the remaining sixty-one were scattered across the seas. However, after two years, only thirty-five of that group remained; the others had been vaporized by Uranus during the World Government's desperate counterattack.
Though a distribution of power now existed, peace was fragile. Zombies fed on blood. Some territories managed well enough by requiring citizens to donate blood, but others consumed people daily. At this rate, the civilian population would eventually dwindle to nothing, triggering a new cycle of war.
Furthermore, within the zombie kingdoms, those with higher intelligence began to experience love. When they paired up, luck would occasionally lead to the appearance of a Demon Star. The birth of a Demon Star compelled the mother to consume massive amounts of nutrition, leading to widespread slaughter.
The lower the generation of the parents, the less energy a Demon Star required. Conversely, if both parents were high-ranking, the requirements were staggering. One Demon Star born to two Second-generation parents had required the slaughter of thousands of Sea Kings just to provide the mother with enough nutrients for the birth.
As for who those two Second-generation parents wereif Qiu Xia were there, he would have recognized them immediately. They were two of the nine zombies he had left behind to guard the orphans he had adopted.
In the second year after the arrival of several Demon Stars, the zombies of the One Piece world learned that the blood of a Demon Star could help them break through their evolutionary bottlenecks.
They also realized that even the lowest-tier Demon Star could exert the power of a Second-generation. Consequently, they began a frenzied hunt to either capture or create more Demon Stars.
Creating them was one thing, but hunting them was another. Parents fought to protect their children, and the children fought to protect their parents. The clashes of power were immense, resulting in massive casualties. The entire world was shrouded in the smoke of death.
Then, one day, a starship resembling a massive castle appeared in the planet's atmosphere. Shortly after the castle's arrival, a woman dressed in black leather with steel wings descended, followed by a horde of hideous demons.
"Wahahaha! This world is truly decadent. Freedom is everywhere! I like this place. Aato, Ataigo make some fodder. We need to forge the bravest warriors from this lot."
"As you wish, Queen Morgana!"
Following her command, the Demon Castle fired several beams of black light into the sky. In the zombie kingdoms below, civilians caught in the light began to contort. Their features grew monstrous, wings sprouted from their backs, and they were transformed into hideous demons. The existing zombies, however, showed no reaction to the black light.
Once they gained their new power, the transformed civilians began to clash with the zombies. The Black-eyed zombies were easy pickings, and the White-eyed and Gray-eyed zombies were roughly on par with the new demons. However, anything higher was beyond their reach. The new demons were only capable of slaughtering the zombie fodder.
