Chapter 17 - Blood red verdict

The dawn light cuts sharply across the empty court. Kael's fingers are straining at the Axiommall. The ground cracks beneath his feet, the air heavy with anticipation.

"There's no room for error today," he whispers, his voice dry as the desert wind.

Meanwhile, in the shadows of the corridor, Ryden is stroking the dark metal of the Gravemind.

"Akira, it was just a warm-up," he growls into the darkness. "You won't survive gravity either."

THE STADIUM: THE FINAL Clash

The noise is deafening. Huge red letters flash on the screen: SEMI-FINALS – KAEL VS. RYDEN KROSS.

Akira clenches his fists: "This isn't the same game anymore."

Shiro just nods, his gaze unwavering: "There's no turning back from here. Whoever loses now loses everything."

"3… 2… 1… SPIN!"

The two peons don't click - they explode. There are no unnecessary sparks, no visuals, just relentless, dry speed. Ryden dominates immediately. The Gravemind "pulls down" the space with each collision, as if it were tying heavy weights to the Axiom.

— Movement restriction — Ryden hisses. — This is your limit, Kael. Your rhythm ends here.

Kael's rhythm falters. The Axiom trembles. The Gravemind's gravitational field suffocates the track.

Ryden steps forward, his eyes darkening:

— Gravemind — ZERO PRESSURE.

The space thickens. The dark entity towering behind Ryden takes on full form, black mist emanating from it. The track's surface crackles with each collision. The Axiom slows. Deathly silence sets in.

Akira forgets to breathe: — He activated… total darkness.

Kael steps back. The pressure is unbearable. But then… he closes his eyes. The roar of the stadium dies down. The fear evaporates. Only the inner pulse remains.

"It's not the power that's the key… it's the pace that I dictate."

Kael's eyes pop open. They're not filled with rage, but with icy clarity.

— Axiom — BALANCE OFFSET!

The next impact, the Axiom doesn't resist. He lets go of the blow, letting the power of the Gravemind fade into nothingness. Ryden is momentarily knocked off balance. A single split second. A single gap in the shield.

Kael strikes. The rhythm suddenly quickens, like a wild heartbeat.

ABSOLUTE DOMINANCE

The direction of the pressure reverses. The red demon's huge wings roar behind Kael, engulfing the arena in flames. This is no longer a machine—it is an extension of Kael's will.

— NOW! — Kael roars. — AXIOM — ABSOLUTE JUDGMENT!

The two entities—dark gravity and red judgment—collide head-on. A single, pure, all-encompassing crash. The red demon's wingbeat shatters Ryden's rhythm. The Gravemind spins helplessly under its own weight.

Silence.

The Gravemind makes one last, uncertain turn, then falls lifelessly.

The display flashes: WINNER: KAEL.

The noise of the stadium returns like an avalanche. Ryden looks at his peon on the ground. He is silent for a long moment.

— I see, — he finally says, and looks up. — You are not stronger. You are the only one who truly controls the tension.

He turns and walks wordlessly into the shadows.

Kael stands in the center of the arena. The Axiom rumbles softly in his palm. Behind him, the red demon no longer rages; he stands silently, his wings spread, guarding his master. Tamed fury. Perfect control.

Kael is ready for the finale.
