Su Yan struggles to carry two heavy grocery bags up the apartment stairs.
She sighs.
"Why did I buy so many things…"
Suddenly, one bag tears and oranges roll across the floor.
A tall man bends down and picks one up.
"Careful."
Su Yan looks up.
It's the new neighbor who moved in yesterday.
Tall. Calm. Wearing a white shirt and glasses.
She quickly grabs the oranges.
"Ah—thank you!"
He silently helps pick up the rest.
When she reaches her door, she finally asks,
"Are you the new neighbor in 302?"
He nods.
"I'm Lei Jun."
Su Yan smiles politely.

Just then his phone rings.

"Yes, I'm coming to the hospital now."

"Hospital?"

"I'm a doctor."
Then he rushes down the stairs.

She looks at the oranges in her hands.

Su Yan sits on her couch, wrapped in a blanket. Her laptop is still open with unfinished work.
She sighs.
"My head hurts…"
She touches her forehead.
It's very hot.
"Did I catch a fever…?"
She tries to stand but feels dizzy.
After a moment, she remembers something.
Her neighbor is a doctor.
She slowly walks to the door and knocks on the apartment next door.

The door opens.
Lei Jun stands there in simple home clothes, slightly surprised.
"Su Yan?"
She tries to smile but looks weak.
"Sorry to bother you… I think I have a fever."
Lei Jun immediately touches her forehead to check.
His expression becomes serious.
"You're burning up."

"Come inside. I'll check your temperature."
Su Yan blushes slightly.

She sits on his sofa with a thermometer.
Lei Jun prepares medicine and a glass of water.

"You work too much, don't you?"

"Rest tonight. Work can wait."
