Neo didn't sleep well that night. He kept turning and tossing on his bed all through till dawn broke. He was in a completely shitty mood.
And for the first time, the thought of skipping class even crossed his mind. It only crossed though, there was no actual way that Neo would skip class if attending was within his capacity.
He forced his tired body up and took a shower. There was a residual smell of smoke in his hair that he had to spend extra time getting rid of. He prepared for classes quickly after leaving the bathroom.
Around the time he was done, he hesitated stepping out. It was around this time Tyrese usually came to search for him so they would start their day together. It had been like this for some time now that Neo was already used to seeing his little nephew's face every morning.
But today, Tyrese didn't come looking for him. Neo opened the door, and there was nobody on the other side.
