JAY-JAY POV
The second the principal said guardians were coming—
the entire classroom became nervous.
Actually nervous.
Which was funny.
Because Section E could fight people without fear but suddenly became peaceful citizens when adults got involved.
David looked stressed.
Felix was praying dramatically.
Rory kept fixing his hair like that would save him.
Meanwhile I sat quietly on my mattress, blanket around my shoulders while trying not to think too much.
Because unlike everyone else…
my parents weren't coming.
And honestly?
I was used to that already.
The classroom door opened again.
One by one, guardians started arriving.
And chaos immediately followed.
"YOU FOUGHT AGAIN?!" someone yelled.
"That wasn't even my fault!"
"YOU WERE LITERALLY SUSPENDED LAST MONTH."
Cin whispered to me dramatically,
"We're witnessing death live."
I almost laughed.
Almost.
Then suddenly—
the principal looked toward the hallway.
"They're here."
I frowned slightly.
Who?
Then I heard footsteps.
Familiar footsteps.
Oh no.
Absolute disaster.
Aries walked into the classroom first.
Cold expression.
Black shirt.
Car keys in his hand.
Already looking irritated.
Behind him came Kuya Angelo, calmer but clearly tired.
And Tita Gema—
who immediately looked worried the second she saw me.
"Jay-Jay!"
I stood up quickly.
"…Hi."
Wrong choice.
Very wrong choice.
Because Aries looked around the destroyed classroom slowly before looking back at me.
"You stayed overnight in school because of a fight."
Not a question.
A statement.
I crossed my arms immediately.
"It wasn't fully my fault."
Aries laughed once.
Dangerous.
"That sentence alone tells me it was absolutely your fault."
The boys behind me started enjoying this way too much.
Traitors.
Then Tita Gema immediately walked over and fixed my messy hair gently.
"You didn't sleep properly, anak."
"I did."
"She definitely didn't," Keifer said from behind me casually.
Silence.
I froze instantly.
Oh no.
Aries slowly turned toward Keifer.
Very slowly.
And Keifer—
Keifer looked completely relaxed.
Like he enjoyed danger.
Which was insane behavior considering Aries looked ready to throw someone through a wall.
"Who are you?" Aries asked coldly.
Before I could answer—
Keifer stood up properly and held his hand out casually.
"Keifer."
I wanted to die.
Immediately.
Because Keifer was smiling.
That flirty confident smile.
Not scared at all.
Meanwhile Aries stared at his hand without shaking it.
"Ah," Aries said calmly. "You're the problem."
The classroom exploded instantly.
Cin fell backwards laughing.
"BRO GOT DETECTED IMMEDIATELY."
Even Rory covered his face.
Keifer looked offended.
"That's kinda harsh."
"You kept staring at her all night," Aries replied instantly.
Silence.
Absolute silence.
I whipped my head toward Aries in horror.
"…You noticed that?!"
"Everyone noticed that," Yuri said calmly from nearby.
Traitor.
Absolute traitor.
Keifer didn't even deny it.
Instead he leaned slightly against the desk beside him and looked directly at Aries.
"I was making sure she was okay."
My heartbeat betrayed me immediately.
Annoying.
Very annoying.
Aries narrowed his eyes slightly.
"And flirting with her?"
Keifer smirked lazily.
"That too."
The classroom LOST CONTROL.
"HE ADMITTED IT."
"BRO HAS NO FEAR."
"HE'S FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE."
Meanwhile I wanted the floor to open and swallow me alive.
Tita Gema looked between us slowly.
Then unexpectedly—
she smiled slightly.
Oh no.
No no no.
Not her too.
"Keifer seems sweet," she said softly.
"THANK YOU," Keifer answered immediately.
"NO HE'S NOT," I snapped instantly.
Keifer looked at me innocently.
"You watched romance dramas all night and still think I'm not charming?"
I stared at him in betrayal.
"How do you keep exposing me publicly?"
"Because your reactions are cute."
"KEIFER," I hissed.
Meanwhile Aries looked exhausted already.
He rubbed his forehead once.
"I'm taking her home before this turns into a dating show."
The boys screamed laughing again.
And unfortunately…
even Kuya Angelo looked like he was trying not to laugh now.
Worst family ever.
Absolutely worst family ever.
