JAY-JAY POV
The fan edits should have ended there.
They didn't.
Because Section E had no self-control.
Especially Rory.
"READ THE COMMENTS."
"No," I replied immediately.
"Yes," everyone replied immediately.
Traitors.
Absolute traitors.
Robin looked delighted as he kept scrolling.
"This is gonna be hilarious."
"It's not."
"It absolutely is."
Luka climbed onto the couch between me and Adrian.
The little menace was enjoying this way too much.
Then Rory started reading comments dramatically.
"CYRUS AND JAY-JAY ARE THE DEFINITION OF RIGHT PERSON, WRONG TIME."
Cin screamed.
"THAT'S SO ROMANTIC."
Cyrus looked like he wanted to disappear.
"Please stop reading."
"No."
Then Rory read another one.
"ADRIAN DOESN'T LOVE HER. HE WORSHIPS HER."
The entire condo exploded.
Robin fell off the couch laughing.
Blaster started coughing.
Felix was crying.
Meanwhile Adrian covered his face with one hand.
"People are ridiculous."
"Are they?" Robin asked suspiciously.
Adrian threw a pillow at him.
Direct hit.
Everyone cheered.
Then Rory kept going.
"ROBIN AND JAY-JAY ACT LIKE A DIVORCED COUPLE."
Robin looked proud.
"Finally. Recognition."
"You need help," I replied.
"A lot of help," Cyrus agreed.
Then Luka suddenly pointed at another comment.
"Oh! Read that one!"
Big mistake.
Huge mistake.
Rory cleared his throat dramatically.
"If Jay-Jay ever gets married, Adrian will be at the wedding smiling while secretly planning a murder."
The room went silent.
Then Robin started wheezing.
Cyrus nearly choked.
Even I couldn't stop laughing.
Adrian looked betrayed.
"I hate all of you."
"You love us," Robin replied.
"Unfortunately."
Then—
Cin gasped dramatically.
"WAIT."
She grabbed the tablet.
Her eyes widened.
"Oh no."
I immediately became suspicious.
"What?"
"Oh no."
"WHAT?"
She slowly turned the tablet around.
And there it was.
A fan poll.
A giant fan poll.
WHO HAS THE BEST CHEMISTRY WITH JAY-JAY?
Below it were names.
Cyrus.
Adrian.
Robin.
And apparently several other people from old movies.
The vote counts were ridiculous.
Robin leaned forward.
"Who won?"
Cin looked horrified.
"Adrian."
Robin slammed the couch dramatically.
"I KNEW IT."
Adrian immediately looked annoyed.
"I literally did nothing."
"THAT'S THE PROBLEM," Rory shouted.
"YOU DON'T EVEN TRY."
Then everyone started arguing.
Robin claimed he should have won.
Cyrus claimed all fan polls were stupid.
Adrian wanted to leave.
Section E was treating it like a national emergency.
And somehow—
amid all the chaos—
Keifer stayed unusually quiet.
That should have worried me.
Because when Keifer got quiet...
he was thinking.
Then Luka suddenly looked up.
"Where's Keifer?"
Everyone paused.
Good question.
I looked around.
The living room.
The kitchen.
The hallway.
Nothing.
Then I spotted him.
Standing alone near the giant balcony windows.
Looking outside.
For some reason—
that bothered me.
A little.
Only a little.
Probably.
Adrian noticed me looking.
Then followed my gaze.
And for the first time all morning—
his expression became thoughtful.
Like he was finally starting to understand something.
Which was unfortunate.
Very unfortunate.
Because if Adrian figured things out...
he would absolutely make my life harder.
And judging by the small smile suddenly appearing on Robin's face—
he already had.
