JAY-JAY POV
The room was still chaos.
Robin was still screaming nonsense.
Cin was still filming.
And everyone was still acting like my life was entertainment.
I sighed loudly.
"This is so annoying."
Keifer glanced at me immediately.
"So are you."
I turned sharply.
"…Excuse me?"
He looked completely calm.
"Truth."
That made me glare at him harder.
"You're impossible."
A faint smirk.
"I know."
The room went quiet for half a second.
Then Robin whispered loudly—
"…Oh this is about to get worse."
I ignored him.
"Stop acting like you're always right."
Keifer stepped a little closer.
"I usually am."
That was it.
That was the moment.
I scoffed.
"You're such an idiot."
Silence.
Instant silence.
Even Robin stopped breathing.
Keifer didn't move.
Didn't joke.
Didn't smirk.
Just looked at me.
For a second too long.
Then—
he stepped closer.
Not aggressive.
Not fast.
Just controlled.
The noise behind us disappeared again like it always did when he got like this.
"porfantity" he said quietly.
I frowned.
"NO"
His eyes held mine.
"Yeah."
A beat.
The air felt heavier.
He was too close now.
Not enough space left to argue properly.
My voice lowered slightly.
"NO"
That question changed something.
His expression shifted just a little.
Still calm.
But different.
"…Or I stop pretending I don't notice when you're trying to annoy me on purpose."
My breath caught slightly.
That was not what I expected.
The room behind us was silent again.
Like everyone was watching without breathing.
I tried to speak normally.
"You're overthinking."
"Am I?"
He leaned just slightly closer—not touching, but close enough that the teasing stopped feeling like teasing.
It felt like tension instead.
Real tension.
And for the first time—
I didn't have a comeback immediately.
Robin whispered somewhere behind us:
"…I should not be alive for this."
Cin replied:
"I agree."
Keifer didn't look away from me.
And neither did I.
The moment didn't become anything dramatic.
It just… stayed there.
Hanging.
Unfinished.
And somehow worse than chaos.
