A nurse entered Adrian's room, holding a hospital suit in her hands.
Her hands trembled as she looked at Alex and Adrian.
Alex cleared his throat softly and stepped forward in a non-threatening manner. His posture was calm and controlled.
The nurse spoke, her voice barely audible, "Mr. Volkov… needs to wear this hospital suit. Then he will be taken to the examination room."
Adrian's anger flared up immediately at the words hospital suit.
He stood up sharply and walked straight toward the nurse, following the direction of her voice, stopping a few feet away.
"Take that filthy thing away. How dare the doctors send you here? And why did you even come here? Don't you love your pitiful life? I won't wear any hospital suit. Now get lost."
His voice was low and commanding.
The nurse's eyes filled with tears instantly, and she ran out of the room as fast as she could.
Alex guided Adrian back to the bed and spoke in a firm but calm tone, "Boss, you need to cooperate. It's necessary to wear the hospital suit."
Adrian clenched his jaw tightly. The veins on his temple became visible, showing he was losing his temper.
"Alex, I agreed to stay in this hospital and do my eye treatment only because I need to find Elena. But wearing that shitty hospital suit is not my thing."
Adrian's constant refusal made Alex let out a heavy sigh.
He thought for a moment before speaking again, "Boss, can you at least wear something comfortable, like trousers and a T-shirt? Should I tell—"
Adrian cut him off mid-sentence.
His jaw was still tight, but the harsh edge in his tone was gone.
"Tell my men to bring it here."
Alex's lips twitched into a small smile, but he quickly hid it and made the call.
On the other hand, someone arrived in a small coastal town.
New people. New place. A new beginning.
