Kami stood atop the lookout, thinking about the upcoming 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. Kami was proud of his student, Son Goku, and how far he'd come in his training. But Kami still didn't think Goku was strong enough to defeat the reincarnation of King Piccolo. Goku had passed every trial set by Kami and Mr. Popo, including spiritual control, mental discipline, and advanced techniques such as sensing Ki energy, eliminating wasted movement, flying, and achieving inner calm. Goku had learned everything that Kami and Mr. Popo taught him.
'It's been just over 2 years since his training began, and he has progressed quickly. But will it be enough to defeat King Piccolo's reincarnation?' As Kami thought to himself, observing Goku in his meditation.

Kami then looked around the lookout, spotting his faithful assistant, Mr. Popo. Mr. Popo had been watering the few plants and trees that decorated the lookout.
"Mr. Popo, can you come for a moment, please?" Hearing Kami calling out to him, Mr. Popo stops watering the plants and walks toward Kami and stands in front of him.
"You called for me, Kami-sama."
"Yes, Mr. Popo, can you bring Goku? I want to speak with him."
Mr. Popo just nodded and calmly walked toward where Goku had been meditating and retrieved him.
After several minutes had passed, Goku found himself in front of Kami with a smile.
"Hey Kami, Mr. Popo said you wanted to talk with me. I was in the middle of my training. Did something happen?" Goku asked with curiosity, looking at Kami.
"Goku, tell me something. Do you think you can beat Piccolo?"
Goku blinked, confused by the question, but then smiled enthusiastically.
"I don't know if I can beat him, but I want to try, especially if he is strong." Goku declared with a grin on his face.
Kami then places his full attention on Goku.
"I was expecting that answer from you. Even so, I've prepared a special training session just for you. Which will help increase your strength and power and maybe teach you new abilities."
Goku's eyes began to shine. "A special training. What is it? Is it harder than what I was doing before? Goku grew excited, eager to try out the new training Kami had for him.
Kami smiled at Goku's excitement. Kami took a small breath before getting Goku's attention again. "Goku, I'll be sending you to a different dimension, to another planet. You will be sent to a world that is completely different from this one. Hopefully, you will be able to get even stronger before the martial arts tournament begins."
Goku then bowed his head.
"To another planet. I didn't know other planets existed?" he asked curiously.
"Goku, on that planet, you should be able to train tirelessly and make friends who could help you improve."
Goku had a genuine smile on. "That sounds amazing, Kami. If there are strong people, then it will definitely be fun to train with them. So when am I leaving?"
"You'll be leaving right, Goku. Go and gather anything you'll need and meet me here."
Goku nodded and ran to his room. He grabbed several of his weighted training dōgi and placed them inside a capsule, as Bulma had given him a small case of capsules last time they saw each other. Mr. Popo had filled several of the empty capsules with food for Goku's trip. He also took his power pole, detaching Korin's Tower from Kami's Lookout, and last, Goku grabbed a brown leather pouch full of Senzu beans.
After gathering everything he needed, Goku met with Kami.
"Come, Goku, follow me." Both enter the temple and walk down a long, silent hall. At the end of the hall, a large red door stood out among the white walls. As they arrived, both Goku and Kami stood in front of the red door.
"Goku, when you cross through this door, you will arrive at the other planet. Once there, train hard and get stronger than ever." Stated Kami seriously.
Feeling excited, Goku clenched his fists. "This is getting interesting. Hey Kami, if I meet someone strong there who wants to come back with me, can they?"
"If that's what they want, then there won't be any problem." Answer Kami.
"Great, then what are we waiting for? Let's open the door."
Kami nodded and turned to open the door. But as he reached for the door handle to open the red door, a bright circle suddenly appeared beneath his feet. A bright circle suddenly appeared beneath his feet. Goku tried to take a small jump backwards but couldn't. To his surprise, the circle began to shine more brightly. Strange runes were drawn on its surface. Noticing this, Kami tried to help Goku by getting him out of the magic circle that appeared underneath Goku's feet. For some reason, Kami couldn't enter the circle.
The runes then began to rotate while emitting a strange buzzing sound slowly.
"Hey Kami, the circle wasn't here a second ago. What's happening?"
The light that was emanating from the magic circle started to glow with an even greater intensity. Goku was compelled to close his eyes as a result of the bright glare. Everything was illuminated by the incandescence that was present. His silhouette vanished instantly as the light completely enveloped it.
When everything returned to normal, the circle was gone, along with Son Goku.
In an entirely different world under an unknown sky stood an enormous coliseum made of white stones, majestic and imposing. Within one of its chambers, several figures stood around a large magic circle drawn on the floor. Suddenly, a flash illuminated the room.
The magic circle releases a mysterious cloud of smoke. Among the shadows, a silhouette began to form and become visible. It was Son Goku. "The invocation was a complete success," one of the figures that surrounded the magic circle said.
Goku began to look around at his surroundings as the smoke began to dissipate. "Where am I?"
