"Looks like Comrade Steve's famous fifty-fifty buff has failed him for once! Which means it's time for Spider-Man to take center stage! Everybody, watch closely!"
Peter handed the microphone back to the reporter, then turned around.
A strange lever-like device had appeared in his hand.
If he wanted to deal with an armored spider monster, then he would use armor to fight armor.
And this armor's offensive power was no joke either. More than anything, he wanted to find out what it felt like to become a Kamen Rider in the Marvel Universe.
On the other side of the camera, viewers sitting in front of their TVs and watching the live stream online all sucked in a breath when they saw the Captain get blown away.
This superhero's status in America was definitely not low, and the number of villains and criminals he had taken down over the years was impossible to count.
No one expected him to have an off day like this.
Tony, standing nearby, could not do much either after seeing the Captain knocked aside. His repulsors and mini-missiles hitting Valleta were about as effective as the tank shells had been.
Tony did not dare engage in direct armored combat with her either. He had already seen what that monster could do to a car with her bare mechanical limbs.
He was sure his armor would not last more than a few rounds against her.
"Damn it! JARVIS, divert all energy to the chest reactor!"
"Yes, sir."
This time the attack finally worked.
Valleta was blasted backward dozens of meters by the chest cannon and smashed through a wall.
Watching Iron Man's attack finally have some effect, the audience in front of their televisions burst into cheers.
"Raaagh!"
Valleta roared furiously at Tony in the sky, venting her rage.
She had not suffered any serious injury, but the steel framework over her chest had been dented inward by the blast.
She copied the same trick as before, grabbing debris from the ground and hurling it at Tony. But Iron Man's maneuverability was on a completely different level from a helicopter's, so he dodged everything with ease.
"Sir, armor energy is below thirty percent."
While Tony continued evading in the air, JARVIS issued a warning.
Seeing how annoying Iron Man was, even more irritating than a swarm of flies, Valleta fired a stream of webbing at him. This webbing was different from the kind that had bound Peter earlier. It was slightly yellowish and coated with some kind of aggressive toxin.
Although, against armor, that probably would not help much anyway.
"Huh? What's that? Some new gadget you invented?"
Gwen looked curiously at the lever device in Peter's hand, then at the red spider-shaped object he took out with the other hand.
This guy was always pulling out all kinds of weird things, and she had no idea where he even kept them. It was like he had a four-dimensional pocket and could produce anything at any time.
"Something I got by chance. Let me show you what another kind of spider hero looks like."
Peter smiled, then positioned the lever device against his lower abdomen. Extensions shot out from both sides and locked into place like a belt, securing it around his waist.
"KillbuSpider!"
He inserted a red bottle into it, then slotted the spider-shaped device into the lever mechanism and pulled the lever.
"Are you ready?"
"Henshin!"
"Spider!"
"Spider!"
"Killbus Spider!"
As the lever slid, blood-red quantum spiderwebs appeared in front of and behind Peter. The two webs gradually overlapped, forming a crimson vortex. When the swirling light finally dispersed, an evil-looking spider rider stood there, his whole body a vivid scarlet, his compound eyes glowing red.
"Holy crap, that design is way too cool!"
"How did he just summon armor like that?!"
"That looks insanely strong..."
Now transformed into Kamen Rider Killbus, Peter could feel the surging power inside his body.
At the same time, he could also feel resistance.
Right. Even though the system had given him this power, the transformation normally required a Hazard Level, Nebula Gas, or Blood Tribe genetics. He had none of those. This was a forced transformation, which meant he needed to end the fight quickly, or his body would not be able to withstand the strain.
Iron Man, after landing on the ground, stared curiously at Kamen Rider Killbus's armor.
"JARVIS, can you analyze what this thing is made of?"
"Sir, there is no data on that material in JARVIS's system. The substance composing this armor does not appear to originate from Earth. It may come from an extraterrestrial civilization."
Hearing that, Tony could not help inhaling sharply.
No wonder the kid had not cared about his nanotech gear. It turned out he already had something better.
And from the looks of it, much better than Tony's own armor too.
That was enough to make anyone jealous.
"Your suit needs an upgrade, Mr. Iron Man."
Kamen Rider Killbus said.
To be fair, Tony's armor really was starting to look a little dated. He had already been considering upgrades, but he still had not gathered the materials and data he wanted, so he had not started yet.
Now, seeing this spider armor, he might have just found some fresh inspiration.
"Damn you! Don't think changing forms means you can stand against me! You don't have that kind of power!"
Valleta glared viciously at Kamen Rider Killbus.
In truth, she really had sensed danger.
She could also feel the spider-like aura coming off this armor. It was far stronger than the steel body she had been given.
If not for her deformed body, who would willingly accept such a grotesque modification?
Would becoming a humanoid spider like him not have been better?
With a furious scream from Valleta, nearly a thousand tiny mechanical spiders swarmed toward Kamen Rider Killbus, Iron Man, Gwen, and the Captain.
Kamen Rider Killbus simply swept one hand outward. Red lightning energy burst from his palm, and a warped spiderweb of energy instantly wrapped around the swarm and crushed it.
Boom!
The tiny mechanical spiders exploded so thoroughly that not even scraps remained.
The power of Kamen Rider Killbus was absolutely absurd.
Too bad the backlash after using it was just as bad.
Yes, Peter's body had mutated, but in the end he was still just a human from Earth. He did not have the Nebula Gas or Blood Tribe genes this armor required. He was basically burning through his stamina in exchange for power.
But if he did not use this armor, there was almost no chance of winning.
After all, even the Captain, the so-called master of going even with anyone, had been knocked flying. That said a lot about what kind of monster Hydra had created.
"What kind of principle is this based on?! It's way stronger than a chest cannon or laser weapons!"
Iron Man grabbed one of Kamen Rider Killbus's hands and studied it carefully, but there was no visible firing mechanism on it at all.
"Something like magic. You get the idea, right?"
Peter's voice came from inside the armor.
In truth, he did not really understand the principle either. After transforming, his head was just filled with a bunch of strange instincts, and he could control this power naturally, though the extent of that control was still limited.
Still, this really did seem to fall into the category of magic, because there was no other way to explain it.
"That's ridiculous..."
Gwen muttered.
"If you had this thing, why didn't you use it sooner?!"
Tony asked.
"The side effects are brutal."
"That explains it."
"Let's finish this fast."
Peter said.
"Hey, idiot, eat my shield!"
Before anyone else could move, Comrade Steve launched another shield throw and then sprang forward with a punch aimed straight at Valleta's head.
"This guy really is all muscle and no brains."
Peter twitched at the corner of his mouth.
"He's old. It happens."
Gwen added from beside him.
Tony said nothing.
The truth was, the Captain really was a brilliant leader. It was just unfortunate that the moment Hydra got involved, his IQ seemed to drop below zero.
Even Tony had no idea why that was.
