The blue light flashed, and the world changed in an instant.
Moon opened his eyes. The smell of garbage and rain was totally gone. Instead, the air here smelled like dry dirt, old metal, and something else... fresh blood.
He stepped out of the portal and gasped. The First Sanctuary was massive. It looked like a giant, broken city mixed with a dark, scary forest. Buildings were crushed, giant trees grew out of the roads, and the sky was not blue. It was an angry, swirling purple color.
In the distance, giant monsters roared loudly. This was not a playground. This was the real Game.

Moon took a deep breath. He walked past the glowing line on the ground that marked the Safe Zone.
Thump. Thump.
Immediately, the ground started to shake. From behind a crushed, rusty car, three monsters jumped out. They looked like giant, ugly green goblins. They had sharp yellow teeth and held rusty, jagged knives.

Normal new kids would scream and run back to the Safe Zone. Even an A-Rank like Lina would need a strong team of friends to fight three Level 4 monsters safely.
Moon did not run. He did not scream. He felt his heart pumping fast, but he wasn't scared. He was excited.
The first goblin shrieked and jumped at him, stabbing down with its dirty knife.
Moon didn't dodge. He used his new skill: Savage Blow. His fist shot out and hit the goblin like a cannonball. The goblin didn't even have time to cry out before it exploded into red glowing particles.

Before the other two goblins could even blink, Moon moved. He was so incredibly fast that he left a blurry shadow behind him. He grabbed the second goblin by the neck and threw it hard into the third one.
They tangled up and fell to the ground. Moon quickly picked up the dead goblin's rusty knife from the dirt. He had never used a knife in his life, but his [Classless] talent suddenly flashed in his mind.

Moon swung the knife through the air. A sharp, red line of energy flew from the blade and hit both goblins at the same time, defeating them instantly.

Moon stood still as the red particles floated into his chest. He felt like a superhero. His muscles, his speed, his mind—everything was growing too fast to believe. The Game was supposed to be a nightmare for normal people. But the System had made a mistake. It had given a Null the ultimate cheat code.
He looked at the dark, purple sky. He spun the rusty knife in his hand perfectly, just like a master assassin.
"Alex... Lina..." Moon said to the empty, ruined city. "I hope you are leveling up fast. Because I am coming for you."
