Chapter 140
NIKOLAJ'S POV.
I left the garden right after Georgia and headed to Jaime's room. I wasn't going to try to calm him down or make a deal like Georgia thought. Instead, I was going to threaten him. If he really wanted to go against me, he could go ahead and try.
In any kind of battle, I was going to win.
I knocked on his door quickly, but there was no answer, so I opened it. The room was cold and empty. He wasn't there.
My next stop was the Reston mansion, hoping he hadn't gone there to tattle to his father. I doubted he would do that, though. He probably wanted to think about it and decide the best way to use it to his advantage. He would likely try to threaten Georgia with it, too, or order her around.
However, the lights at the mansion were off. Then it hit me. He had probably gone to wait for Georgia in her room.
I rushed back to my place without wasting a second. I needed to get there before Jaime did anything crazy in his drunken state.
