"You said you've been taking lessons for your course exams."
"Yes father," Ryan answered. "When is the exam?" Don Alessandro asked.
"I have written the exam and I just received a mail that I've gotten an admission to university in Italy," Ryan explained.
"So what do you need for college?" Don Alessandro asked.
Don Alessandro didn't go to college, he dropped at high school, joined the mafia at a very young age. All because of his father abandoned him and his mother then his mother abandoned him. His grandmother began to take care of him but when she died he dropped out from school. When he became Don Alessandro he lost his wife and three kids to the hands of Lorenzo. When Ryan broke his head stocks to him.
"I need money to clear my college fees, and transport," Ryan said.
Don Alessandro nodded. "I will credit you fifty million dollars, that should be enough to clear your college fees for the first semester."
"Yes father, thank you father, I will take my leave now, call me if you need anything okay?" Ryan said and Don Alessandro nodded.
Don Alessandro's adviser and personal bodyguard agrees, "I can see the fierce determination and unbridled potential in him, and I know that he would propel him to inherit the throne, wisdom, intellect, and the drive that makes him the natural successor to the empire, and with a sense of certainty, I thought that he is the one. He'll wear my crown when I'm gone. When my time comes I want him to inherit my empire, I want him to sit on the throne and to wear my crown, he is my chosen one, the heir apparent, and my rightful successor to the mafia kingdom, and with a sense of certainty, I decree that Ryan would be the next Don, the new king of the underworld. And what I need from you both is guidance, guide him and protect him. I know he has chosen his own crew but still watch over him, guide him and still teach him what he needs to learn."
"Yes Don," the adviser and bodyguard chorused.
Ryan held a unique place in Don Alessandro's life, one that allowed him to speak freely and honestly with the powerful mafia boss. Don Alessandro, typically guarded and reserved, was uncharacteristically open and affectionate with Ryan, treating him like a son and showering him with love and care. Their bond was deep and growing, transcending the typical dynamics of a boss and his associates.
Don Alessandro lavished Ryan with attention, insisting he sit by his side during meetings and seeking his counsel on matters both trivial and significant, a display of favouritism that bred resentment among other members. The Don's affection for Ryan only grew, prompting him to accompany Ryan on missions, publicly praise his bravery, and bestow generous rewards, effectively cementing Ryan's position as his adopted protégé and sparking whispers of jealousy throughout the organization.
