Chapter 86 - Fear Has a Face

Fear Has a Face

The room was already tense—

But Damian's next words…

Shattered whatever was left.

"I could have killed you," he said calmly.

A pause.

"Just like I killed the driver you paid…"

His eyes darkened.

"…the one who tried to crush my car."

Silence dropped like a blade.

"Innocent blood was spilled that day," he continued.

His voice lowered.

"Leo."

The name echoed.

"And it was all because of you."

Ingrid's composure cracked—just slightly.

Zavian stiffened beside her, fear creeping into his expression.

"I've been waiting for this day," Damian said.

A slow, dangerous smile formed.

"And I'm glad it finally came."

He didn't move.

Didn't raise his voice.

He didn't need to.

"Lucas."

Lucas stepped forward immediately.

Without a word—

He placed a device on the table.

Tapped it once.

The screen lit up.

A video began to play.

Ingrid.

Zavian.

Clear as day.

Talking.

Planning.

"…make sure the car doesn't make it out alive…"

"…no mistakes…"

"…it has to look like an accident…"

The room went silent.

Dead silent.

Zavian staggered back slightly.

Ingrid's face went pale.

Because there was no denying it.

No escaping it.

It was over.

The video ended.

And the truth—

Hung in the air.

Heavy.

Unforgiving.

Ingrid swallowed hard.

But still—

She forced a smile.

"What will you do?" she asked.

Her voice almost steady.

"Report us to the police?"

Zavian didn't speak.

He couldn't.

Fear had already taken over him completely.

His hands trembled.

His face drained of color.

Damian watched them.

Carefully.

Slowly—

He smirked.

"I know that face," he said softly.

A pause.

"Fear."

He let the word linger.

Then—

He laughed.

Low.

Dark.

Unsettling.

The kind of laugh that didn't belong to a man—

But to something far worse.

"Should I report you to the police…?" he asked.

A step forward.

"Or…"

His eyes turned deadly.

"…take the law into my own hands?"

Silence exploded.

No one moved.

No one spoke.

Because now—

They understood.

This wasn't about justice anymore.

This was judgment.

And the one standing before them—

Was judge.

Jury.

And executioner.

Zavian's knees nearly gave out.

Ingrid tried to hold her ground—

But even she couldn't hide it anymore.

The fear.

Raw.

Real.

Because for the first time—

They realized something terrifying.

Damian wasn't asking a question.

He was deciding.

Will Damian choose the law… or blood?

And if he chooses revenge… who will survive this room?
