Viktor gripped the chair with white-knuckled hands as the black SUV tore through the narrow underground tunnel.
Leon lay curled up in the backseat, naked, bruised, and sobbing quietly. The boy's body shook with every bump in the road, his swollen eyes barely open.
"Faster!" Viktor barked at the driver, his voice edged with raw panic. "They're right behind us! If they catch us, we're dead! Push this damn thing to its limit or I'll shoot you myself!"
The driver floored the accelerator, the engine roaring like a beast in response.
Sweat poured down his face as he gripped the wheel tighter. "I'm pushing it as fast as I can, boss! This tunnel isn't made for high speed! One wrong turn and we crash into the wall! I'm doing my best here!"
