SONIC PAST ARC
The chapter begins with a street view in Russia. It is nighttime, the road clock shows 12:56 a.m. We see a child standing alone by the roadside. Right beside him, a car accident has taken place. Sonic is standing there.
Suddenly, the police arrive and notice Sonic.
One of the officers, Dimitri, says, "Eh, child… are those your parents?"

Sonic turns his face toward Dimitri, tears streaming down. He is crying heavily.
The scene cuts. Morning has arrived. On the news, the headline runs:
"Last night, a car accident occurred and two people were killed."
"What is your name?" Dmitri asks Sonic.
Dmitri has taken Sonic with him.
"My name… Sonic," Sonic says nervously, his voice trembling.
"That's a good name," Dmitri replies warmly. He is cooking food while Sonic sits at the dining table.
"Why did you bring me here?" Sonic asks, his tone slightly aggressive.
Dmitri turns back to look at him.
"Look, if I'm honest… you remind me of my son. Just as beautiful," Dmitri says softly, still standing in the kitchen.
Sonic only watches him silently.
"My mommy and daddy… are they dead?" Sonic asks in a low tone.
Dmitri, who was cutting fruit, stops and walks toward Sonic.
"Look, I don't know how the accident happened. But yes… your parents died in that accident. Are you German?" Dmitri asks quietly.
Sonic just stares at him, saying nothing.
"I… I don't know," Sonic replies in a normal tone.
Dmitri nods in agreement and returns to the kitchen to continue cooking.
"What is your age, child?" Dmitri asks loudly so Sonic can hear him.
Sonic listens, then gets up and walks into the kitchen.
"My age is seven," Sonic says calmly.
He begins analyzing everything in the kitchen with curiosity.
Dmitri notices this and realizes Sonic has probably never seen a kitchen before.
"Eh, child, have you never seen a kitchen?" Dimitri asks in a high tone.
Sonic is fascinated by the new utensils.
"What is a kitchen?" Sonic asks humorously, turning the water on and off at the basin.
Dmitri is both shocked and confused by this answer.
Just then, Dmitri's phone rings.
It's Officer Nina Vogel. Dmitri sees the number and answers.
"Hello," Dmitri says in a normal tone, standing straight. Behind him, Sonic is playing with utensils.
"Dmitri, wherever you are, come to headquarters immediately. Hurry!" Nina says urgently. Dmitri hangs up, puts on his clothes, while Nina also prepares herself. Something big is about to happen.

Dimitri picks Sonic up and places him in the car. "Sit quietly in the car," Dmitri says angrily.
Sonic nods, and Dmitri starts driving.
"Where are we going? I don't like sitting here!" Sonic says in a terrified tone, retreating into the corner of the car.
Dmitri watches him through the mirror.
"Nothing will happen. I'm here," Dmitri says confidently, focusing on the road and increasing speed.
Sonic remains terrified in the back seat.
They arrive at headquarters, located inside a tunnel. The tunnel is dark, but as Dmitri enters, the lights switch on.
Outside, Nina Vogel is waiting.
"Park quickly and come inside! The Germans have attacked us!" Nina says, frustrated. She walks inside. Dmitri is shocked — they had signed a treaty with Germany, so why now? He locks Sonic inside the car.
"Stay here. Don't try to get out, understand?" Dmitri warns in a stern voice. Sonic nods, and Dmitri goes inside.
Inside headquarters, many Russian officials are present.
The room is dark except for a projector showing a screen.
Nina Vogel stands nearby.
We see Military Commander-in-Chief Anastasia Ivanova

"What are these Germans doing!?" Anastasia says angrily, eating grapes. Alexei Petrov agrees.
"These damn Germans are a headache!" Alexei Petrov says furiously, sitting at the center of the table. Anastasia nods.
"We don't know, but they blew up our underground missile factory," Nina says calmly, showing images of the destruction. Everyone looks shocked.
"When did this happen!?" Alexei Petrov asks angrily, his mind overwhelmed by the destruction.
Nina answers:
"Yesterday, around 4 a.m.," she says, showing CCTV footage of the blast. At that moment, Dimitri enters the room.
"You're late, Mister," Anastasia mocks, seeing him. Alexei also glares at Dmitri.
"Do I care?" Dmitri replies in a low tone, looking at Nina instead of Anastasia. Anastasia grows irritated.
"Okay, we've also discovered that Germany is preparing to launch 60 ballistic missiles at Russia's capital, Moscow," Nina announces, showing proof. Everyone is shocked.
"What!? Sixty!? When and how did they get so many missiles!?" Alexei Petrov shouts, frustrated and angry. Fear spreads across the room.
"Sixty ballistic missiles for only one capital… it means they have far more missiles than us," Dmitri says quietly, his head bowed as if analyzing. Everyone agrees.
"But the question is, how did they get so many missiles? After World War II, Germany had nothing.
And now they're coming back with this much firepower," Anastasia says in confusion, looking at Nina and Alexei. Alexei looks at her and replies.
"I think they've been secretly making missiles," Alexei says angrily, glancing at Dmitri and Nina.
Dmitri thinks for a moment, then asks:
"Who is the supreme leader of Germany?" Dmitri asks calmly, looking at Nina.
Anastasia answers:
"Adolf Lucious di Compo II (2nd), a.k.a. LDC," Anastasia says in a normal tone, eating grapes.
Alexei watches Dmitri's face and asks:
"What are you thinking?" Alexei says curiously, noticing Dmitri's head bowed. Anastasia and Nina also watch him.
