Chapter 55 - Chapter 55: The Truth

"Hey, what are you tsking about here! Aren't you the one who has something to ask me for? If you're asking for help, then show some proper attitude!" Theresa slammed Judas heavily in her hand, causing the entire small mountain to tremble.

"It's nothing. You just ruined my daydream about being seriously ill." Shun stored Thousand Jun back into Cosmic Juggernaut, spread his hands, and said.

"You're really a bit neurotic. Also, when did I ever have the nickname 'Edgy Punk Captain'?"

Before coming to the Schariac family territory, Shun had called Theresa and said things like "Edgy Punk Captain, I'll wait for you on the baldest mountain near the Schariac house"...

It forced Theresa to look up what "edgy punk" meant, and she nearly exploded with anger when she saw it.

Although she, Theresa Apocalypse, had white hair, it was natural. Unlike those edgy punks who messed up their hairstyles and hair colors.

"Northeast past events, that's all..." Although it wasn't yet that summer of 2016, that midsummer kicked out by Brother Tiger still remained fresh in his memory.

"Alright, let's talk business first. Sit." Shun gestured with his hand, and a chair full of power appeared beside Theresa.

Seeing this, Theresa followed the principle of "if there's a free seat, don't sit for nothing" and plopped down onto the chair.

"Go on. What else do you want to tell me?" Theresa was somewhat puzzled. If it was just about asking her to take care of Ana, she would definitely do it if he said so.

After all, Ana was Cecilia's biological niece. Theresa would definitely get involved. After finishing the call, she had gone to check and confirmed it was true. The matter should have ended there.

But Shun said there was still something important to tell her.

"Don't be impatient. It's about Kiana and Siegfried. I think you'll definitely be very interested."

Shun had already thought it through. St. Freya would become the center of the world in the future, and all major events in the coming years would revolve around St. Freya.

So it was best for Shun to invest early and cooperate with Theresa before anything happened. Although in the game plot Theresa acted like a child and seemed very unreliable, she had never sold out her teammates.

Being teammates with Theresa was much better than those guys from Anti-Entropy, who relied entirely on their mouths to trick Theresa into risking her life for them.

They even stood Siegfried up, directly causing him to fail to save the real Kiana.

In fact, except for things related to the Herrscher of Reason, deleting Anti-Entropy from the plot basically wouldn't change anything.

"If that's all, then we don't need to talk. You couldn't possibly know more about their affairs than I do."

In Theresa's understanding, Kiana, who had been hit in the head by shrapnel on a supersonic plane and then free-fallen 20,000 meters, definitely couldn't have survived. Even though her grandpa kept lying to her saying she was being treated, Theresa eventually gave up hope.

She had already accepted that Kiana was dead. This was also why she became so furious when she answered Shun's call and mistakenly thought it was Siegfried.

As for Siegfried, Theresa figured he had joined Anti-Entropy. After that incident, she hadn't contacted Siegfried either.

"If you don't have anything else to say, I'll leave. But rest assured, I'll take care of Ana's matter." Theresa shook her head and decided to leave. Shun really didn't have anything good left.

"Wait. What if I said that what you think might not be correct? For example, Kiana didn't die. She's still alive and well right now."

"That's impossible. At the time of the incident, Kiana wasn't even ten years old yet. Such a young child couldn't possibly have survived."

Theresa immediately retorted. Even though she was Kiana's great-aunt and desperately wished Kiana was still alive and well, she couldn't convince herself.

Listening to Theresa, Shun secretly complained in his heart. If he hadn't read the plot, he wouldn't have realized how tough the real Kiana was.

"I know this is hard to believe, but please trust me, okay?" Shun felt his words lacked emotion, so he quietly added.

"Principal Theresa, I'm not lying."

Perhaps it was because she suddenly saw Otto's shadow in Shun, or perhaps because Theresa still held a sliver of hope in her heart, she wanted to believe him.

Sit down. Just listen for a while. What if little Kiana really is alive? Theresa's heart kept urging her.

"Fine. Make it short." Theresa finally sat back down.

Seeing Theresa sit again, Shun continued. "Actually, the real Kiana is someone you're very familiar with. You've even met her. If I remember correctly, you actually disliked that person quite a bit. No, not disliked you just didn't like her taking someone else's place."

"Who? If I had met Kiana, there's no way I wouldn't recognize her!" Seeing Shun speak like this, as if such a person really existed, Theresa couldn't control her emotions.

But Shun didn't answer her question and continued on his own: "The reason you've always avoided meeting that person is because you saw someone else's shadow in her."

"In a sense, she replaced Cecilia's position, so you didn't want to see her and classified the sense of familiarity you felt from her as an illusion."

Actually, at this point there was no need to continue. At this moment, Theresa already had the answer in her heart.

"It's actually her. If it's her, then everything makes sense." As Shun's explanation deepened, a figure became clearer and clearer in Theresa's mind.

Actually, the person Theresa feared most when coming to Schicksal Headquarters wasn't the estrangement with Otto he was her grandpa, her most important person nor the overly enthusiastic Rita. Although Rita was enthusiastic, she had never caused her trouble.

The person Theresa feared most was actually Durandal. She was afraid of seeing Durandal because all traces of Cecilia in Schicksal had quickly been replaced by the rising Durandal. Even Theresa saw Cecilia's shadow in her.

So Theresa had run away. But if… Durandal was actually Kiana, then it all made sense. Seeing a mother's shadow in her daughter was perfectly normal.

"Then… what about her blonde hair?"

Shun delivered the final blow: "I believe with Schicksal's technology, changing someone's hair color isn't difficult, right? If you can't do it, go pull a strand of Durandal's hair and do a paternity test with Cecilia or Siegfried's genetic samples. The results will come out quickly."

"I… I understand. Thank you for telling me this." After learning this news, Theresa no longer had the mood to listen to Shun continue about Siegfried.

Siegfried? Some guy she didn't know.

"You told me something so important to me. As repayment, I can promise you one thing anything that doesn't violate my principles."

Here it comes? Why go through the extra step of telling Theresa all this if not to make her willingly owe him a favor? Then he could make his request?

"I was waiting for exactly those words. So… I want you to..."
