Skylar was there to welcome Tayo when he came back that day. He had been living with her and her mum for a week now, and just got hired as a CFO's assistant yesterday. A job which he was yet to tell her how it all came about.
"So, how was work today? I've made dinner,"
She walked up to him to take his bag and overcoat. "Don't," He stopped her "I've still got strength to carry it to my room." It all felt weird, like she was his…wife. Especially now that her mother wasn't around to welcome him like she did when he went Job hunting. "Where did you say your mother went to?"
"Grocery shopping, or something. She'll soon be back. Hurry up and have your bath. You've got a lot of things to tell me,"
Tayo gave a weak smile and left.
