The night was calm. A gentle breeze rustled the palm trees outside the resort balcony, carrying the faint scent of the ocean.
Vijay and Riya had gone to fetch drinks, leaving the rest of the group lounging on deck chairs, half-wrapped in blankets, half-lit by the flickering glow of lanterns.
Dev stretched his arms over his head, smirking. "So… anyone notice how Vijay's glances keep lingering on Riya?"
Kabir, lying on his back with his hands behind his head, snorted. "Oh, please. That's obvious to anyone with eyes. He's gone full soft mode."
Tanu chuckled softly, sipping from her bottle. "It's not that subtle, honestly. But Riya… she's not exactly giving him clear signals either."
Ayaan, ever calm, leaned forward. "Which means we have a simple problem. They're both stubborn. And perfectionist. Neither wants to make the first move."
Kabir sat up suddenly. "Perfect! Then it's our job, obviously. Operation Matchmaker is officially a go."
Dev laughed loudly. "Kabir, that's your most dangerous power—annoying both of them until they give in."
Kabir grinned. "Exactly. And I'm fully licensed."
Tanu shook her head, smiling. "You two are ridiculous. But… it might work. Gentle nudges, teasing moments… subtle hints."
Ayaan raised a finger. "Step one: create moments where Vijay and Riya have to interact naturally. Step two: increase the frequency of private conversations. Step three: encourage small confessions."
Dev clapped his hands. "Step four: total embarrassment if they resist. I'm all in for step four."
Kabir leaned back again, sighing dramatically. "I've never been more excited about other people's love life. It's like watching a slow-motion action movie, except the heroes are too stubborn to notice each other."
Tanu giggled. "We really are terrible friends, aren't we?"
Dev smirked. "Maybe. But we're effective."
The conversation slowed as the night deepened, the ocean waves crashing rhythmically. Everyone glanced toward where Vijay and Riya had disappeared to.
Kabir whispered, mock-serious: "Mission approved. Our target: ultimate couple status. Completion: inevitable."
Ayaan chuckled softly. "Then let's let the natural course of events do the rest… with a little help from us."

And so, a silent pact was made under the moonlight, laughter mixing with the sea breeze. These friends had decided: the world would not stop them from helping their stubborn, oblivious friends find a happiness they were both too hesitant to claim themselves.
