Chapter 233 - Reception

Neither Jiraiya nor Orochimaru knew that Tsunade suspected Fusō was from the Uzumaki clan. They didn't delve into Tsunade's reasons, as their immediate concern was the Rain ninja.

At this point, the remnants who had ambushed them were eliminated, with only one left alive for interrogation. Even so, he was severely tormented, covered in blood, and lay unconscious on the ground.

"Thank you all," the Rain ninja, who seemed to be an Anbu captain, approached and expressed his gratitude. "If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have caught these people so quickly."

"It was just a coincidence. We didn't intend for this to happen from the start," Tsunade said, feeling a bit embarrassed. They truly hadn't intended to be bait; they had only stumbled upon the enemy's true identities, leading to this situation.

"Regardless, I still thank you. And fortunately, this young man informed us in time. If anything had happened to you, I wouldn't know how to explain it to Leader Hanzō." There was a hint of lingering fear in his tone, clearly worried about some negative consequences.

Hearing this, Tsunade felt that her previous decision might have put these Rain ninja in a difficult position, making her even more embarrassed. At the same time, she was glad Orochimaru had gone to notify the Rain Anbu beforehand.

"Alright, I'll take you back to prevent those people from seeking revenge," the other party said.

"Haven't all of them been caught yet?" Jiraiya asked in surprise.

"There are probably seven more, roughly the same number as these guys, and they're still quite dangerous, so I hope you won't be careless," the other party said. Before speaking, a hesitant look crossed his eyes, as if he was contemplating whether to tell them this, perhaps to warn them, so he eventually spoke.

The three couldn't help but frown. They had thought that once these people were caught, they wouldn't have to worry about running into trouble again in the Hidden Rain Village. They hadn't expected it wasn't truly over yet, and these people couldn't be all the elites; there must still be skilled ninja among the remaining ones.

"I understand, but I want to go see someone," Tsunade said.

"Who?" the other party asked.

"It's the person this guy impersonated," Tsunade said, kicking the person Orochimaru had knocked unconscious. "She's my patient. Since this guy impersonated her, it proves he knows about her and her husband. To make the disguise more convincing, he might have done something to them. I need to go confirm."

The other party hadn't expected Tsunade's request to be this, and he was stunned. He had been born and raised in this country, witnessing only cold interpersonal relationships. Few people had the kind of deep bond where they could entrust their back to another. Most Rain ninja cared only about themselves, barely able to look after themselves, let alone other civilians.

Yet, this Leaf Village girl, who was clearly only helping the people of the Land of Rain due to a village mission,

It was natural for her to show concern for those who came to her for treatment, but in this situation, out of concern for the safety of those two, she was willing to risk danger to go see them, which went beyond the scope of her mission.

The Anbu captain felt that this girl possessed something he had never had. For a moment, he was speechless. After a while, he slowly nodded and said, "I understand. I will take you there."

As he turned around, the Anbu captain couldn't help but recall the former leader Bessa's conspiracy theory about Konoha. He didn't know if Konoha truly had a conspiracy, but one thing he was certain of was that Konoha Village was not as sinister as Bessa had claimed. These medical ninja who had come were all respectable people.

After Tsunade's explanation, Jiraiya also became worried about the couple. Although Orochimaru didn't feel much, seeing that both his companions wanted to go, he couldn't say anything and could only agree.

Just as the group was about to move, the Rain ninja providing protection in the rear immediately turned around, looking vigilantly ahead, and said, "Who's there!"

The other party had no intention of hiding and soon appeared before everyone. When Tsunade saw him, she exclaimed in surprise, "Sakumo, it's you!"

After eliminating the Rain ninja blocking his way, Hatake Sakumo rushed over and saw Tsunade and the other two already under the protection of the Rain ninja. He breathed a slight sigh of relief; it seemed Tsunade and her companions weren't without precautions, knowing to bring the Rain Anbu with them.

Immediately, Hatake Sakumo saw the bloodstains that hadn't been completely cleaned up, and his expression darkened slightly. This scene clearly indicated a struggle had taken place. Indeed, that Rain ninja blocking his path must have hoped to hinder him so that his ambushing comrades could eliminate Tsunade and the others.

Fortunately, Tsunade and her companions' preparations were superior. Not only did the ambushing Rain ninja not succeed, but they were all eliminated by the Rain Anbu. It was truly a cause for celebration.

Hatake Sakumo had guessed the entire situation almost perfectly. He then approached Tsunade and said, "It's a good thing you're alright, otherwise I wouldn't know how to explain it."

"I'm fine. What happened to you?" Tsunade was startled when she saw Sakumo, looking as if he had been struck by lightning release, with faint traces of blood on him.

"I ran into someone blocking my way midway. Although I dealt with him quickly, it came at a cost," Hatake Sakumo said with a wry smile. If he hadn't been in such a hurry to see Tsunade, he wouldn't have needed to use such a self-harming method to quickly subdue that Rain ninja. "Given the current situation, the ones who called you out must have been them impersonating others, right?"

"Yes, I'm more worried about their family's situation right now. I was just about to go check on them," Tsunade said.

"It's good to check. I have something to tell you," Hatake Sakumo said, glancing at the Rain Anbu beside them.

Tsunade remembered Hatake Sakumo's purpose before leaving and knew that he might know something. She nodded slightly and said, "Let's talk about it later."

So, the Rain Anbu led Tsunade and the others to the address registered by Ise. For them, the terrain here was very familiar, and they quickly found the place. Like ordinary civilian houses, there was nothing special about it. When Tsunade and the others arrived, Fusō happened to be walking out of the house. She immediately saw Tsunade, and a look of surprise appeared on her face.

"You're that medical ninja. What are you doing here?" Fusō said happily. She had a very good impression of Tsunade, who had saved her husband's life.

"I just wanted to see if your husband's condition had improved," Tsunade said with a smile.

The Rain Anbu had hidden to avoid detection, so Fusō hadn't seen them. Thus, she didn't find Tsunade's presence strange. She smiled and said, "The medicine you prescribed is very good. Ise feels much better after taking it."

"Is that so? Then I'll confirm it again and see if I can suggest some new treatment methods," Tsunade said.

"Alright, please come in quickly, and the other three as well." Fusō hurriedly invited Tsunade in. As she led everyone into the house, she frowned slightly and looked outside.

"Miss Fusō, what's wrong?" Hatake Sakumo asked when he saw her action.

"Nothing," Fusō shook her head, then immediately put on a smile again, welcoming everyone inside.

The house wasn't large, with only two rooms: one for eating, receiving guests, and storing things, and one for resting. Ise lay there, looking listless. When he saw Tsunade and the others appear, he was startled and intended to get up immediately.

Tsunade stepped forward to reassure him, saying it was nothing and explaining her purpose for coming. Hearing this, Ise lay back down, giving a weak smile: "I've troubled you."

"I told you, it's what we should do," Tsunade said with a smile, re-examining Ise's body to ensure there were no sudden illnesses. After a moment of thought, she offered some treatment plans to aid his recovery. Fusō nodded repeatedly, taking down everything Tsunade said.

"Since you're here, please stay and have a meal to show our appreciation," Fusō urged.

"This..." Tsunade hesitated, then remembered that Fusō might be from the Uzumaki clan. Out of curiosity, she couldn't resist and decided to accept. She just wasn't sure what the others thought, so she asked for their opinions. Everyone, including Orochimaru, had no objections.

Fusō was very happy. After giving her husband the scheduled medicine, she started searching for ingredients in the house, planning to prepare a grand meal to entertain Tsunade and the others.
